When you go on vacation why shouldn't your dog? Our place is like a dog sanctuary with much petting and play time. Any visiting dogs will be treated like family. We have 3 acres of secure fenced-in yard where visiting doggies can run and play, plus plenty of space for the avid ball chaser. I have found that the Chuck-It has revolutionized my ball-throwing game and made me quite popular with the doggie crowd. I am an experienced dog sitter from elderly dogs to pups. I have also owned a number of dogs of my own. When I was growing up we had anywhere from two-four dogs at a time so I am no rookie to handling multiple dogs. I have two dogs of my own right now (a spunky 1 year old named Higgins and a 10 year old lab mix named Saki). I have recently completed a couple of basic obedience classes with Higgins where he received his AKC Puppy Star and Canine Good Citizen. A general animal-lover we have had a number of other pets throughout my childhood, including llamas, turtles, a bunny, a goat, and fish. My mother also worked for Project Wildlife for a number of years rehabilitating owls, hawks, and other birds before releasing them back into the wild, which has increased my penchant for animals. Once I heard about Rover, joining and becoming a sitter seemed like a natural course in continuing to nurture furry four-legged friends with love. I know that when I'm away I want to not worry about my dogs and be happy in the knowledge that they will be well-cared for by someone who understands how important our dogs are to us- they're family.
