Pet care experience
I am a dog person, living vicariously through other peoples puppers. I grew up around dogs and have taken care of a variety of breeds from big to small while pet/house sitting. Familiar with basic training techniques and happy to work to learn and accommodate your pet’s unique training requirements. I have a had a feline fur baby of my own for over 10 years and raised two from kittens.

Rachel was excellent with our dog Sitka!!! We went away for Spring Break and Rachel went above and beyond in caring for our Dog! Trusting Rachel with our pet was so easy. She is responsible, outgoing, loving, and totally reliable. She took our dog on long hikes, beach walks, and cuddles on the couch. Our dog Sitka loves to be with people, and Rachel included our dog in all her daily interactions. She would be the first person I would call to care for our dog if we went away! I highly recommend Rachel!
Rachel is an absolute pet-lover, and she treats my 1 year old mixed breed dog as if he were her own. She has experience walking larger dogs, as my dog is 80+ lbs. I trust her to care for my fur baby as I would, and I know my dog is safe in her hands.

Although I currently cannot accommodate boarding a pet in my own home, I would treat your pet and space with respect and care. I do have a yard and plenty of walking/hiking trails near my place and would be more than happy to exercise your pup as much or as little as you would like.

A typical day
I would love to explore with your pup; stopping the smell the roses on a walk through the neighbourhood, hiking through the woods, or fetch at the park - count me in. After some activity and adventure is the perfect time for some snuggles and a brush.

Availability
I am currently working in a flexible Monday-Friday role. Meaning I am always available early mornings, evenings after 3:30, and weekends, but can also be available during the day when necessary.
