Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Rachel! I have tons of experience with dogs of all sizes because my family shares my love for fur babies! I have cared for dogs that are 2 pounds all the way to dogs that are 120+ pounds. My family and I have one rescue beagle with severe PTSD from abuse from a past owner so I do understand the extra love and care that is required for dogs or cats who suffer from that kind of issue. I have a golden retriever, a lab mix, and two mixed cats, at home as well so I am experienced with caring for more than one animal at a time. I also am experienced with providing basic medical care to dogs and cats because of a few health complications my pets have experienced in the past. I mainly have administered oral or lotion/ointment medications, but I do know how to give shots as well. I’m so excited to be able to love on your pets too! Thank you!!

Rachel has been a great caretaker for our 4 dogs. She is very reliable, trustworthy, and communicates while we are on vacation. She even sends pictures of our boys. Rachel is always willing to help and goes above and beyond when we are out of town.

I have one cat named Shelly in my apartment but because of that, and my apartment's policies, I would not be able to host pets with me. I'm definitely available for home visits, though! All throughout high school and the first few years of college I babysat, and more often than not my clients had dogs that I cared for, too. I'm well versed in the art of potty breaks and walking to the park :)

I would like to know if the dog has any certain triggers from any possible past traumas or incidents that I should be aware of. Age and energy level would be nice too, but I don't have any preferences!
A typical day
I love to just play with dogs and their toys. At home, my golden retriever loves playing fetch and tug-of-wat more than anything. I also definitely think mental stimulation is important so incorporating fun walks into our time is huge for me. A perfect example would be taking toys to the park or trail. Being able to meet people, smell new things, and run in the sun is the best all around.

Availability
I'm a full-time college student at MTSU but only having one class a day leaves lots of room for caring for pets. Any time before 10:45 and after 1:15 works with my schedule!
