Pet care experience
I have been babysitting dogs and other animals for a couple years now. I have shelter experience, and study animal sciences at the University of Maryland. I am available to play with your dog, take them on long walks, or just generally let them out to pee- and I'll make sure to keep you updated with pictures and what we've gotten up to while you were gone. I am also willing to feed and care for other pets in your house if you have them. I have cats, fish and experience with various reptiles as well. I will treat all your pets like my own and look forward to meeting them! In regards to COVID- I wear a mask while in clients homes and am willing to sanitize after myself as well!

Rachel is the only person we've ever trusted for pet sitting. We left her in charge of our dog and house for 8 days while we were out of the country with no worries. She took our puppy for multiple daily walks, provided him with more playtime than he usually has, and was very responsible with his feeding schedule. Rachel is a stellar student and has a wonderful personality. I have no reservations about highly recommending her for any dog care-giving job.

If you have anything specific you say to encourage your dog to go potty- that would be helpful. Also, if your dog is not friendly with other dogs or only specific types of other dogs I will be on the lookout and cross the street if we encounter them. I love all breeds of dog and would be happy to walk them regardless. If your dog does not walk very well with just a leash, please let me know and have the type of lead that you use available.
A typical day
If you have a normal routine with your dog I am willing to follow it, but if not, we'll enjoy walks through your neighborhood and possibly a park or a trail if you live by one! I would also not mind driving your dog to a location for a walk if your dog enjoys car rides. If a walk isn't in the schedule, we can play fetch and anything that will keep your dog healthy and engaged.
