All the love & care your pet needs!
Pet care experience
I am fully flexible to keep your pets in my home, or to make your pets as comfortable as possible and stay with them at your home. I am mature, responsible and trust-worthy with over 7 years of experience in pet-sitting/house-sitting and have had pets of my own at all times (large dogs and cats) since I was a young child. My pets are my children and I will love your pets and treat them as I do my own. I do not crate your pets unless they are used to being crated for sleep, or if it is their safe space. I understand the limitations of certain breeds, whether it be limited time outside, food allergies, asthma, etc. I am experienced with pill medication administration with dogs and cats. If your pet has had recent surgery and requires extra care, and/or is difficult to administer medication to, there will be an additional charge, discussed at the time of booking. I do have some health limitations, so high energy dogs that require a lot of walking are not the best match for me. I will do check-ins for cats, and for dogs that can be let out into a back yard. Please ask about check-in rates, as they can vary. Book well in advance for guaranteed availability. Bookings outside of Montgomery (including Prattville, Deatsville, Pike Road, Wetumpka, Millbrook) will add an additional $15 to the final rate. Fully insured by Pet Care Insurance (PCI).
Reviews
As always, so happy that our Bixby is very happy with Rachel!
Rachel is very professional. I enjoyed meeting her & fully trust her with my fur baby! I highly recommend her & will definitely refer her to friends & family!
Rachel W. cancelled a booking 3 days before it was scheduled to begin.
Rachel was wonderful! She was flexible and responsive, and she took such great care of our dogs! All our dogs have very different personalities, and Rachel gave each of them the love and support they need. I highly recommend her!

Pets are allowed to do (or not do) whatever they are allowed to at your home. They will be treated just as you treat them. If they sleep in the bed with you, they will sleep in the bed with me, etc. At my home, pets are allowed on furniture and beds unless not allowed by you, and will only be crated if you use a crate. My home is monitored by night vision cameras that I can access remotely to check in on your pet if I have to be away.

Information Rachel W. would like to know about your pet
Do they get along with cats? If not, they can be separated from mine, I just need to know in advance. Are they high energy? Are they trained? Do they take commands? If so, please let me know your wording for each command as they tend to differ between owners. Do they have separation anxiety or bark at everything?
A typical day
I live in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of places to walk. I do have several chronic health conditions which prevent me from being able to do high intensity exercise or long walks (20 minutes +), but am able to do normal play (fetch, short walks, tug, etc.) with no problem. I do not take pets to dog parks.

Pet sitting is my full-time job, so I will be with your pets for most of the day and each night. Pets will be alone no more than 3 hours at a time and that is only under special circumstances.
