Pet care experience

** I am a fully insured pet sitter ** IMPORTANT - I can only accept a dog for home boarding, if it’s either crate trained or able to sleep comfortably in its own bed downstairs. By day, I work remotely from home in a lovely picturesque village near Mold, in North Wales. Pet sitting really is the ideal situation, as I’ve had the opportunity to board pets at my house whilst pursuing the day job, as well as travel all over the UK sitting pets for lots of families, including dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, rabbits, chickens and even llamas! Meeting new people and spending time with their pets is a wonderful experience and I’m very proud to have regular, repeat clients. Call it a natural instinct with animals, I assume I must be doing something right! My own home is pet, child and smoke free, very clean and tidy, and it goes without saying that I always respect and maintain the cleanliness of each and every property I stay in. My living area is open plan and spacious, with enough room to house a couple of pet beds or medium sized crates. I have a fenced off garden with a good sized patio area to provide pets with regular toilet breaks outdoors. There are also dozens of country walks and playing fields no more than 5 minutes from my doorstep with plenty of opportunity for a good runabout and even perhaps a treat or two if they’ve been A* pooches! Thanks for reading and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you think I’m the right sitter for your requirements 😁 Working remotely from home allows me great flexibility. With regular breaks around my schedule, heading out for some fresh air and an invigorating dog walk is the perfect excuse! The welfare needs of a pet can vary so greatly during a sit, but I try and tailor the requirements each pet has with the owner’s expectations. Ensuring the pet’s health and safety is maintained is my number one priority.

We knew first time meeting Rachel our fur babies would be in the best hands , we were updated and sent some lovely photos on all the fun they were having! We have booked her again for a couple of weeks stay and will always if available , highly recommended ! It’s so nice to be able to go away knowing our fur babies are happy and so we’ll looked after ??

We have been delighted with Rachel's care of our mischievous labradoodle dog. We were quite nervous about leaving our dog for the first time, however, Rachel visited our house to get to know our dog and to understand his ways and habits and that gave us reassurance and she developed an immediate bond with him. Rachel always sends us lots of of pics of our dog and that gives us lots of reassurance. He now loves his visits to Rachel's house and she spends lots of time entertaining him with walks , play and training etc. Rachel is very experienced with animals and has a great love and rapport for dogs in her care. Additionally, she in very helpful in offering advice on any training or health care needs and that has been really appreciated. We are really happy to recommend Rachel for any dog caring role. Best regards Ellis and Allison

Rachel is absolutely fantastic! ☺️ She is very friendly, really welcoming and just oozes passion for dogs. We have a chihuahua who is very nervous around new people and other dogs so I was really apprehensive about leaving him whilst we went on holiday. However after meeting Rachel for the first time in our home and seeing how she was with him really put my mind at ease. She was so gentle and understanding of what he needed and respected his boundaries as they got to know each other. And after our second visit in Rachel's home he was demanding tummy tickles! Rachel sent me pictures and videos keeping me up to date with his daily adventures. She even taught him a new trick, which he was so proud to show me when we picked him up. I'm so glad we found Rachel and can't wait for our Furbaby to enjoy his next holiday with her.

I will only consider pet sits where owners have completed their pet profiles. Blank profiles will be rejected. Let me know if your pet has any special dietary or exercise needs. And for puppies, any training programme to follow whilst they’re in my care is also useful to talk through.

The service needs of a pet sit can vary so greatly, whether it be at my own home or that of an owners, but what I try and do is tailor the requirements each pet has with the owner’s expectations. That seems to be the tried and tested method that works best!
