The jack-of-all-trades pet sitter!
Pet care experience
Since my early teenage years, I unintentionally became THE person to call with all pet sitting & walking needs! I have cared for, walked, and fed pets of family, friends, & neighbors for anywhere between 2-11 nights in a row during their vacations & work trips. I have had 3 of my own dogs (1 westie & 2 dachshunds :) ) throughout my lifetime who I have loved and cared for. I have pet-sit for dogs ranging from puppies to seniors. While some dogs required multiple long walks a day, all dogs were guaranteed lots of love and attention while their owners were away. I have also cared for various cats as well as for fish, reptiles, and amphibians. I still have 2 wiener dogs of my own at home (pictures on my profile!) and I also have a pet frog. When I say I am a jack-of-all-trades pet sitter, I really mean it!

Rachel is the person you’ve been looking for to take care of your babies! When I was planning a week long vacation, she was the first person I turned to care for my girls. I am very particular about how my dog is cared for and Rachel is by far the best dog sitter I’ve ever had! Rachel stayed at our home with our dog who has a touch of separation anxiety and our very sassy cat. She took amazing care of our girls and sent photos of them everyday! Rachel was also very respectful of our home while she stayed there. We have a number of aquarium animals which she also cared for. Overall, the best part about having Rachel care for your pets is that she genuinely enjoys it which puts your mind at ease while you’re away! You will know that your babies are getting all the love they deserve!
I have known Rachel V. for her entire life. Rachel is and always was a very kind loving child and now she is grown and is one of the best people I know.Rachel grew up with dogs in her home and took care of them, fed them, played with them and loved them. Her family including Rachel fed ferrel cats for many years. She has pet sat for my dog many times including overnight. Anytime she sat for my Libby I never was concerned as I always knew Rachel would take care of Libby as if she was her own. I would absolutely recommend Rachel as a pet sitter as I know how responsible she is.
Rachel has watched my cat several times both for quick daily checkins and times while I was away for a week at a time. She loves animals, and is a great caretaker. She is responsible and always feeds on time, scoops the litter box and takes the time to play and care for my cat Lois. Lois is not a big fan of most humans but she enjoys Rachel’s company. I recommend Rachel to take care of your pet.
For the first time ever I needed a dog watcher and walker. A friend recommended Rachel V and it was the best thing that ever happened for our dog Rachel was so loving and caring. She took our dog on several long walks a day, fed him, gave him treats and always kept us updated with pictures. I highly recommend Rachel. She was outstanding.

I am very well accustomed to walking dogs of all different personalities and needs, so your baby is safe with me on their walks around the neighborhood! Any instructions you leave me for walks or drop-in visits I am confident I can follow. My experience with caring for a variety of different species of animals has helped me with following strict feeding schedules & performing miscellaneous tasks to meet the animal’s needs.
Information Rachel V. would like to know about your pet
For dog walking, I like to know the reactivity of your dog to other dogs/animals/people/stimuli (for example, somebody asking to pet your dog, a larger dog being on the same side of the road, etc). I have walked dogs where on one hand it was necessary for me to cross the street whenever another dog came by. On the other hand, I have walked dogs where they have wanted to be pet by every passing human. Are there any common behaviors exhibited by your dog that I should know of? I ask this same question when it comes to drop-in visits. With drop-in visits, I also would like to ask that you leave me a detailed list of your dogs needs so I can properly meet their needs according to your instruction. Thank you!
A typical day
I am a very energetic person myself, so if your dog requires fast walks or likes to take play-breaks in the park, I am always up for the job! I love visiting new places and being outside, so point me in the direction of your baby's favorite parks and trails and we will be there. During drop-in visits, let me know if your baby likes more play-time to get their energy out or more cuddle-time to get some loving in during the day and I will hang with your dog (or cat or any other animal) to their hearts content.
