Pet care experience
In childhood we had several furry and feathered family members whether it was my immediate family or extended. My favorite being to be around were the furry kind. Within the past year and a half, I've discovered my highest excitement in life is caring for animals, both mine and others. My last fur baby moved on in 2020 but I get my fur cuddles in with my grandpup, Luna, as well as other family and friends fur babies. In 2022 I had the opportunity to be trained as a veterinary assistant at a local veterinary hospital. While I absolutely loved the opportunity to care for the babies of so many families, I've found that I'd prefer to provide a more indepth comforting, fun, and less hurried service to these beautiful little (and sometimes huge) beings. As an assistant my duties included preparing the patients and their parents for the doctor; hold the animals during procedures; for hospitalized pets I would prepare kennels and provide care such as walking, cleaning up kennels if they had an accident, feeding once they were cleared by the doctor; walk, feed, and medicate boarding pets; and overall just trying to be a comforting presence for the animals while assisting the doctors and technicians. I would absolutely love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family to determine if I am a good fit to be of service to you both. The deep true compassion and love I feel for my own animals extends to all people's furry family members.
Reviews
Detailed and spends extra time of puppy needs it. Takes the worry off. Much appreciated!
She’s very playful with my puppy🐶
Rachel is absolutely amazing! She really makes the effort to connect with your animals and makes sure you and they are comfortable. She sends pictures and a detailed report when she drops in for a visit. Highly HIGHLY recommend Rachel to anyone that is looking for someone who really does care about your fur babies 💗
I would give Rachel a 10 star review! That is how much I believe that she goes above and beyond my best hopes for a sitter for my little girl. She loves dogs so much that they can’t help but love her too. We don’t usually leave our Rainy for 2 whole weeks, but she has been a happy dog the whole time. I know this, because of the multiple texts and pictures Rachel shares with us every day. But I don’t want to rave about her too much, because I want Rachel to be available the next time we need a sitter.

Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
Communication is essential. When we meet for the first time to determine if I may be of service to you, I would like to learn the typical routine your pet experiences in a given day. What their preferences are and what your preferences are. Ultimately, it is about providing an environment where your pet feels safe and cared for when their special human, their safety and comfort being, their whole world, is unable to be present for him or her. My care for your pet will be customized based on your input.
Information Rachel V. would like to know about your pet
Prefered veterinary clinic or hospital. Any allergies, special diets, particular food preparation. Is the pet on any types of medication, if so, administration method and schedule.
A typical day
Walk, play ball, cuddle, run around and act wild. Discover a local dog park. Whatever activity that is the preference of the pet and possibly even it's parent(s).
