Pet care experience
Although I've recently switched fields, I am a Veterinary Technician who graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in Veterinary Science. I now work as a Genetic Engineer during the day but miss having everyday animal interactions dearly! I have years of experience caring for animals from all walks of life, having had internships at vet offices, grooming salons and even the Philadelphia Zoo. Not only do I have years of professional experience, but I also have a passion for caring for animals that drives what I do. I might only live in an apartment, but I am walking distance from many parks and fields where I would love to run with a dog! I also hike regularly and know it would be the perfect trail to bring a four legged friend on!

I didn't write a review initially because I thought I might be overreacting, but we now officially need to replace our oven after Rachel's stay six months ago. The temperature knob for the oven was somehow smashed to the left. It's an ordinary stove, so it's going to be about the same price to buy a new one versus repair it. When we returned, we also found a chunk of oak missing from a dresser, which we had to repair, and she broke the latch on the cabinet below the sink. We don't monitor the apartment through Alexa. But we additionally found that she had turned it off while we were gone. Based on the damage to the apartment, we interpreted that she didn't want to be monitored.
Rachel and her BF took amazing care of Arlo. He got plenty of exercise and was very well taken care of. Will be booking again, and would recommend.
She was very accommodating to our last minute booking. She was great with Jose and keeping us informed.
Rachel was beyond amazing, she kept me updated on all of shadows daily activities. Communication was amazing and I will definitely will be rebooking in the future. I would recommend her to anyone. Thanks again racel

In my opinion, pets are family and should be treated as such. I arguably spoil pets too much at times, as I have little to no boundaries in terms of furniture or home goods. I also have experience training and can work on leash manners and general in-home training if desired. My full attention is always on your pet, no matter what.

It's great if you could bring any toys/beds/blankets along that might smell like you and your home to help keep your dog at ease and minimize stress! I would also appreciate if you brought your own pet food, so your pet doesn't have to face any digestive stress that might come with switching to a new/unfamiliar food.
A typical day
I live in an apartment in Midtown, and love taking dogs on long walks to Bryant Park or Madison Square Park (which has an awesome dog park). I am very active and love being outdoors.

Availability
I only work a few days a week, and live with my boyfriend who works from home. Between the two of us, someone can always be home with your pet. I like to book only when I am home and have a full day off, but occasionally my boyfriend loves to help out, as a fellow animal lover.
