I AM ONLY AVAILABLE TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS OR MUTUAL FRIENDS. I've had cats and dogs my whole life! I've also had betta fish and am familiar with them. My Schnoodle puppy, Lucy, was a Valentine’s Day gift from my husband, and she’s the most adorable baby dog (even though she bites my toes). I have been house-sitting and pet-sitting for friends and family members since I was in high school. They will all tell you that I leave their houses cleaner than I found them, and their pets love me. Also, I'm a middle school history teacher, so I have lots of experience with noise and high-energy environments. Your pets will not scare or overwhelm me.

Rachel is absolutely wonderful with my pups! They get so excited when Aunt Rachel comes to stay. We get updates and pictures often whenever we are away. We always know that our precious fur-babies are in good hands when we are away!

I will not be able to board your pets in my home. I will happily stay in your home with your pets (which is less stressful for them anyway) and make sure their routines are followed as closely as I can. I will clean up any accidents, make sure feeding/walking schedules are followed, and administer any medications if necessary.
Information Rachel T. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to be made aware of any schedules you try to follow (walking, potty breaks, feeding schedules, treat frequency, medication schedules, etc.) so that I can provide the same care you provide for them. I'd also like to know if there are any allergies or aggressive behaviors or tendencies. I am not afraid of any pet, but I want to make sure they are safe while I am there. Years ago, I had a husky with food aggression who attacked our puppy when she was new to the house, and I learned how to manage their feeding to avoid that happening again. Also, if they have a favorite treat or toy, let me know so I can be sure to include those in my visit.
A typical day
I love to play outside and inside. Throwing a ball or playing tug with toys are some of my favorite things to do. I like to walk in parks, but I prefer to stay on trails away from other dogs in case they are less friendly and your dog will not be as familiar with me. The safest place for us to be will be in your home or yard where your pets are familiar with their surroundings and are the most comfortable.

Availability
Since I am a teacher, I do not have much time during the week to house/pet-sit. I am more available on weekends during the school year. However, I will be available throughout the summer months regardless of the day.
