Hi! I am a recent college graduate, currently working as a zookeeper. I grew up taking care of my family's Shetland sheepdogs and dog sitting for friends and neighbors. I also have a lot of experience caring for other animals in wildlife rehabilitation and in zoos, so I'm fairly comfortable around animals of all types and energy levels! My experience includes: pet dogs, cats, hamsters, fishes, reptiles, amphibians, and farm/native rehabilitation/zoo animals. At one of my zoo internships, I was able to train an aardvark to walk in a leash and harness. At my current zoo position, I hope to keep developing my skills in operant conditioning and positive reinforcement training to work with animals of all taxa. All in all, I have a wide experience working with animals in different capacities. I know how to prepare special diets and medications, clean up poop/litter/etc, train animals with positive reinforcement, safely walk dogs (and other mammals), and I'm a great playmate for your pet as well! I am currrently available Mondays and Tuesdays, but may be able to offer animal care services in the evenings during the rest of the week.
