Pet care experience
My family and I have always been huge animal lovers. Because of this, I have grown up around many types of animals- cats, dogs, even fish! I personally know the value that a furry (or scale-y) friend can bring you, and equally understand the importance of providing them with the same love and affection right back. With that said, I'm open to dog walking, house-sitting, playtime- you name it; I feel capable to support your pet however is needed. For your reassurance, I am a recently retired college athlete, so I believe that I am strong and patient enough for the job (...and enjoy any excuse for physical exercise that I can get, haha)! While I'm currently living away from home, I miss having a companion by my side... so, I'd love to share the love with your pets too, if you'd let me! :)

We are so glad we found Rachel. She was prompt in her time and communication… she took notes and asked us lots of questions. Gracie just loved her immediately. I understand that many animals are creatures of habit, so when watching your pet, I would prefer to keep them as close to their normal routines if possible. This means feeding them, providing medication, taking them for walks, playing with them, or crating them where needed in their schedules. I'd be happy to switch things up still (such as taking your dog for a walk at a nearby park instead of his/her usual route), as long as you'd encourage this!

Please let me know if your pet has issues with people, children, or other pets (i.e. biting, humping, anxiety, etc). This will be helpful for me to know before planning walks or activities that involve external stimuli, including any of my visits to your home (and more importantly- your pet's home)!
A typical day
While hanging out with your pet, there's no shortage of fun activities that we could enjoy together! For pets that like the outdoors, I could take them to one of the nearby parks/trails, dog parks, or even a new route to walk or run at! For pets wanting playtime, toys (i.e. balls, ropes, laser pointers, etc.) keep many pets entertained, so I would love to use whatever toys you have available so that we can play games together! I will also be SURE to provide plenty of quality bonding time with belly rubs, head scratches, snuggles, and kisses (if they're comfortable with this) and photoshoots of your adorable little friend.

Availability
My current 9-5 work schedule is pretty flexible. I typically work remote on Wednesdays and Fridays, but I can work from home on specific days too, if needed. I already split up my workdays with brain breaks throughout the day, so any needed check-in or potty break for your pet should fit in perfectly with my schedule. Otherwise, I am free most evenings after work as well. I am also in-town most weekends and would be happy to accommodate for longer stays or pet care visits when possible!
