Looking to spoil your dog with love and attention!
Pet care experience
My partner Ben and I both grew up with dogs as children. My family had two little dogs, a Maltese and a Papillon. I cared for both of them when they were older, so I have experience caring for dogs with special needs. Ben's family have a Labrador-Collie and a Red Setter-Poodle mix. We both have experience with puppies. During university, we started dog-walking for others. We looked after two dogs in that time, walking them regularly once a week. More recently, we have started looking after dogs more regularly, including hosting them in our home.
Reviews
So grateful to Rachel and Ben for looking after Reggie whilst we were in London for my partner running the marathon. They sent regular updates and went above and beyond with his care (I said not to worry to walk him as his manners on the lead aren’t the best, but they still braved it ☺️) They were also super flexible as we weren’t sure on our ETA home. Thank you so much and we hope to have Reggie stay again ☺️
Rachel and Ben were lovely, we had a meet and greet before and they were very flexible with my schedule. Both dogs came back so relaxed and chilled that I might just book myself in! Would highly recommend - my cocker spaniel is very high energy, and my Older dog a grump, so not an easy mix, but they’re booked in again so can’t have been too bad! Thank you so much.both of you 😊
Rachel and Ben were very accommodating. We had a pre-meet at their house which was very close to their stay. I wouldn't normally leave it so late due but one of my dogs had been ill and taken a few weeks to recover. They were understanding of the lack of communications and we were made to feel very welcome. They asked lots of questions about the care and attention required for my two and I felt complete confident in their ability to look after my dogs. It was a trial stay as I've recently moved to the area and this is the first time they've been left with anyone outside of close family. I'm happy to say I'd use Rachel and Ben's services again and maybe leave them for longer if Rachel and Ben aren't booked up already!
They provided amazing care for our senior staffy. It was the first time we had left him with anyone other than family and Rachel was great and gave regular updates which eased our nervousness. Rio loved his time with them and we would highly recommend them!

Our house has a large fenced garden that your dog can go in as much as they like. We will always defer to the owner's preferences when it comes to making your dog comfortable. Dogs are very welcome on the sofa. They have free range of most of the house and the garden. We usually take them on one big walk each day (at least one hour) - this can be a couple of shorter walks instead for young or senior dogs who can't walk as much. We tend to walk a dog on lead for at least the first 2-3 times, as we like to make sure we have established trust and practiced recall before walking a new dog off-lead. We will always speak to you about your preferences about this and all other matters beforehand.

Information Rachel S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or if there is anything you would like me to pay any particular attention to. I am always happy to make reasonable adjustments. I would especially be grateful if you could let me know: - Any allergies - What particular commands your dog is trained in - Behaviour around other dogs and around cats - Any particular likes or dislikes - Any dietary requirements / preferences - Vet details (if there is an emergency) - If there is anything else I should be aware of - for example if your dog is a particularly enthusiastic squirrel chaser!
A typical day
I would love to take your dog to explore our local parks, including Coldhams Common, and Midsummer Common. On weekends, with your permission we'd like to take your pup to more exciting outings further afield. Your dog is also welcome to snuggle up on the sofa with us, and we are of course happy to maintain and practice any training or commands.

We both work from home for much of the week and have a flexible schedule. I am available to walk dogs first thing in the morning or in the early afternoon. We are happy to take dogs overnight on some weekdays and on weekends. Please get in touch if you'd like your dog to stay with us for a week or longer - even if the calendar doesn't show us as available, we are often able to accommodate you.
