I literally adore all animals
Pet care experience
I grew up with a menagerie of animals (of all kinds -- from dogs and cats to hamsters and toads). I currently have two cats of my own, Honeybee and Calliope (I'd love to have dogs too but it's hard when you're renting). For a few years, I volunteered at The Scratching Post, a cat cafe/adoption center that regularly had 12-14 cats. Between taking care of my parents', siblings, and friend's animals, I have found that really most animals love me and I have a secret talent of being able to trim the nails of animals I just met (came in really handy at the cat cafe!!). I've never met an animal I don't like and I will happily meet your pets' needs-- I'm not above rolling around on the ground, handfeeding a pet who isn't feeling good, etc.

Rachel is a dedicated and extraordinarily loving pet parent. Their own cats are their world and I (a psycho pet parent myself) would trust her with the care of my babies any time. She understands how difficult it can be to let others care for one’s pets and will absolutely love anyone’s pets like their own. She is responsible, reliable, and so loving.
I would highly recommend Rachel as a pet caregiver. Her love of animals is obvious when you see her interact with them. Dogs and cats have always been attracted to Rachel due to her calm, kind and caring nature. She gets down on the floor to play with them and loves to take them for walks and on hikes. I am that kind of quintessential pet person who will treat your pet like my own family, give them kisses, etc. If you are someone like me who worries about other folks taking care of your babies and if they will treat them like "just animals" or if they will treat them with the same care and understanding of how important they are to you, I'm your person. I am mature, educated (have a master's degree in education), and respectful, and again, a true animal lover and long time pet parent myself.

Let me know if you have any concerns about your pet -- I am almost 6ft tall and have experience with large breeds, in case you are worried about a stronger or bigger dog, especially on a leash. My family's first dog and my constant companion from birth to age 10 was a Rottweiler, and I also have experience with Great Danes, Irish Wolfhounds, and Bernese Mountain Dogs, among others. My parents right now have two Australian Shepherd mixes so I'm also no stranger to smart, high-energy mixes as well!
A typical day
I just love to play with animals! Show me what their favorite toys or activities are and I am just as happy to get on the floor and play tug, go outside to play fetch, or cuddle up on the couch.

I currently work full time but have a pretty flexible schedule that can allow me to pop out during the day with enough notice and some flexibility, and I am pretty much always available on the weekends.
