Pet care experience
I have taken care of animals all of my life. I worked as a kennel technician in Highschool and college. I now rescue reptiles and own two dogs. I am very knowledgable about animal husbandry and care. I have experience administering medications (oral and injection), bathing and grooming, and training.
Reviews
Rachel did a wonderful job looking after our dogs, Fred and Ollie, as well as our little finches, while I was away. We look forward to her coming back when I have future trips.
Rachel did great taking care of my three dogs while staying in my home for four days. She also watered the plants upon request and they are still alive! ? She left a very small 'footprint' in my home because she thoroughly cleaned up after herself, which was nice to come home to! She is trustworthy and respectful, and of course is excellent with the doggies. Rachel sent pictures and updates during our trip. I will definitely be hoping to schedule Rachel in the future!
Rachel was such a big help to me in watching my 8month old puppy! It’s so nice to have someone take good care of your puppy in your own home so you can be at ease. My puppy was very happy ??
This was our first time leaving our dogs with someone who was not family and we were initially nervous about booking through an app. We interviewed a few sitters through Rover who were not a good fit. And then we met Rachel. SHE IS WONDERFUL! We and our pooches immediately took to her. While we were away, she sent photos of our dogs and they had a really good weekend with her at our house (and that allowed us to have a really good weekend without our dogs!). We highly recommend Rachel and will book with her again.

If I am pet sitting at a clients home, I will stay overnight. I can stay over all hours of the weekend to play with them, walk them, feed them, and have regular cuddle times :). I can also stay over weekdays but would need to go to work during the day for about five hours. I have a very flexible schedule and can work around your pets needs.

I don't have any breed restrictions! I prefer to know if they have access to a yard during the day and if they are leash trained. Also, if there are any special needs I need to consider.
A typical day
I'm really good and engaging a dog physically and mentally. I love hiking with dogs and walks around the neighborhood. I take my dogs on the trail by petroglyph national monument.

Availability
I do work full time as a Graduate student at UNM but I am willing to stay over night, any night at the pet owners house to house sit. I am available for walks in the mornings and evenings. I also have availability mid day for check ins and walks.
