Experienced & Reliable Animal Lover
Pet care experience
I have been a diehard animal lover all my life. I started volunteering at the local Humane Society when I was in middle school. While in college, I worked for the Denver Dumb Friends League as a dog/cat adoption, intake, and healthcare specialist. I also managed a dog daycare and boarding facility called Camp Bow Wow and fostered for Colorado Puppy rescue. I have experience in basic obedience, special needs, anxious behaviors, giving medications, bathing, and cutting nails. I currently have two dogs of my own, a 13 year old Blue Heeler named Reggie and a (almost) 2 year old Great Dane named Rue. It is my passion to provide a safe and loving environment that your fur babies feel most comfortable in. We (my husband and two girls) want them to have just as much fun with us as you are having on your vacation. To all my new potential clients: I try very hard to make sure that we are the right fit to care for your pets prior to booking. I do require a meet and greet for those that are in town and at least a phone chat for those coming from out of town. It is my number one priority to provide a safe and loving environment for your fur babies as they will be immersed into our daily life and apart of our family for their stay. Please be honest with me about your pets care, personality, medical needs, fears, typical behavior at houses or facilities outside of your own, etc. Due to some unfortunate, but rare, experiences, please note: - If your dog is over 12 months old and has potty or marking issues, there will be a fee of $10 for each incident after the first. $50 if the incident in on furniture. We completely understand first time accidents in a new home. Most pups or dogs correct easily with positive reinforcement. - Meet and greets are fantastic and generally provide great insight to whether or not a pup will do well with us. Even then, sometimes things can come up during the first stay and that's okay. All first time boarders will be booked without any other client pups or overlaps. Thanks so much for understanding. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Rachel is very easy to work with and great with our cat. We highly recommend.
Outstanding, Rachel is excellent!
Rachel was great with our cat, we highly recommend her!
Rachel provides an incredibly loving and safe place for dogs! Her entire family was so loving and kind to our dog, Daisy. Lots of attention, play time, and good interaction in every way. We could not have been blessed with a better babysitter for our dog. I would not hesitate to use her again when the need arises. Thank you SO MUCH, Rachel!

Your dog will have free range of our house and fenced in yard with us, our current dogs, Reggie and Rue. We do not allow our pups on our furniture but welcome any beds, toys, blankets you’d like to bring to make him/her feel most comfortable. We also have plenty of room for crates if you crate train.

Information Rachel S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know what needs your dog has upfront so we can make sure we are the best match for care. The most helpful information pertains to their daily routine and how they act with other dogs and children. We require meet and greets first but also accommodate phone chats for those friends coming from out of town.
A typical day
We love to play ball and tug of war and when our kids are home from school, our dog likes to play hide and seek. We also like to go on walks on the trails around our house and on 30A. Our pups get to go on car rides too.

My husband and I currently work from home so we are at our house all day long. That allows us to provide frequent potty and play breaks.
