Hello! I am transitioning from social work to full time pet-care. I have been walking dogs full time for 3 years now and have had dogs and cats my whole life and feel so rewarded just being around them. When out walking dogs, I like to let them socialize with other dogs and people (with everyone's permission, of course!) And get to know their surroundings. I have a gentle and patient yet firm style that works well for walks or just some playtime and snuggles! I currently walk a couple family members dogs, weekly, in the afternoons. I also am a full time mama of my kitty, Sweater. I give lots of attention and ensure their health through providing exercise and following dog parents' reward systems. I will provide care and stimulation through play, following and adding to the training of pet parents and provide long walks to those requesting this service.

Rachel is a very reliable and professional dog walker. She always takes a photo on her walk and lets me know how it went. She is accommodating with scheduling and quick to respond. One less thing to worry about knowing my dog is taken care of on days I'm not home. Would recommend to anyone in the Albany area.
Rachel is THE best. She is flexible and easy-going with my inconsistent schedule and last minute changes. She always texts me pics of our Cubby and updates me after she visits, which gives me an amazing peace of mind. She played a HUGE caring for Cubby ! He's happy, and so am I. Thank you, Rachel!

For drop-ins, I can do a bit of obedience training, snuggling, playing and just replenishing food and water. I love the greeting aspect of visiting an animal. It can be done with such enthusiasm and love.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs that I can accommodate for. I have provided medication for dogs in the past and would be willing to do so again with proper direction. I am also versed in clicker-training, if that is what you use.
A typical day
I will utilize toys and training to mentally and physically stimulate your dog. Long walks will include this training as well. I will come prepared with treats and bags.
