My grooms are mostly for tidying up purposes and often groom Australian Shepherds and Golden Retrievers. All equipment and products are professional and I only take one dog at time to reduce stress and provide the most relaxing environment as possible. Hello! I moved to Port Angeles from Alexandria, VA in June 2020. I ran my own pet care business, Doggie Dame, in the Washington DC metro area for 7 years but I have been taking care of pets my whole life. I miss my furry friends back in Virginia so much and was heart broken to leave them. However, I’m so excited to start dog walking and pet sitting again in Port Angeles! Working in the city gave me that go go go work ethic and ability to adjust to an ever changing environment. With a great need for dog walkers in a city of tall apartment buildings, I was used to a full dog walking schedule of 12 walks a day and also petsitting and boarding. It was 24/7 and I loved it! As a pet care professional, my full time career is taking care of pets. It has never been a side job or a hobby for me and I consider myself extremely lucky to make my passion my job. The health and happiness of your family is my priority and I will follow the rules and practices you already have in place to keep parents and pets both content. Notes on Services: - Dog grooming services are now available at my home. To book a grooming appointment select another service like “drop in visit” for a day you would like the appointment. I can modify the date and price after you send the request. In your request, you can message me letting me know that you are seeking a grooming appointment. At that time, we can discuss your needs. - Same day bookings may not always be possible. I encourage clients to schedule walks/visits as soon as they are able and ahead of time is preferred :) - I will always strive to arrive at a specific time, but if I can’t, I will stick to your preferred timeframe - My overnights include morning care/walks etc., afternoon care, a dinner time visit, and returning no later than 9:00pm for bedtime potty and sleep over. Hour long visits during the day will possibly be charged an additional nominal fee. I am usually at your home far more than this, but this is the minimum that the overnight fee covers so you don’t have to worry that your loved ones aren’t getting frequent care and attention! I am not at the home 24 hours. If you need someone to be at the house most of day, please specify this is your request and I will let you know if it’s possible and what the rate will be. - I’m extremely reliable and communicative. There is no such thing as too much information and I’m absolutely open to as many notes and directions as you would like to provide! I’m a dog parent, too, so I totally get it! - I have three dogs that I love very much. Sketch loves all dogs and is the social one. If an owner requests for him to come along for a walk, I am open to that request depending on a dog’s temperament and health. Safety and happiness are my priority! :) - I also offer dog bathing, brush outs, and outlines. I don’t offer full shave downs or patterned cuts, but will trim nails, feathers, pants, sanitary areas, and ears. Thank you!
