Paws on the Farm
Pet care experience
Who loves Paws? Me! My name is Rachel and I am 29 years old. I am a full-time homemaker and mother of a sweet toddler. I live on a farm with several big fenced yards and my family own at least a hundred animals such as goats, a donkey and ducklings and many more! This is a sweet country life and I would love for your paws to experience this lifestyle once in awhile! Daycare/boarding: Pick-ups and drop offs for those who does not live in my town, the first ten miles are free. After 10 miles, I charge .36 cent per mile (price varies due to gas price changes.) *The first 10 miles free applies for drop in visit and 30 minutes walk as well.* Before booking, I would like to do a Meet and Greet. It is highly recommended because it is important to have our pets feel secured, safe, and know who they will spend their time with. Also, this would be great and beneficial for owners to ensure I am the right fit for their precious paws. ***I do accommodate pets that require special care due to age, chronic illnesses, post-surgical recovery, and/or other medical reasons. I will treat your pets as my own and greatly understand the importance of your pets' needs. With me, your pets are in gentle, caring, and experienced hands! My experience administering medication: I am very comfortable in administering medications due to my many experiences, such as using an inhaler, giving pills (by mouth, in food, pocket pills, etc.), administering cream in the ears or on the body, eye/ear drops, etc. Note: I do not have experience at this time with administering injections, however, I am willing to learn if you teach me!
Reviews
Rachel did an incredible job with our minpin, Dobey. With his old age and hearing and eyesight issues, I am always worried about boarding. But, Rachel was amazing! She kept me informed all week, asked questions when she needed to and easily catered to Dobey’s needs! Great experience!
Rachel puts Hank at ease the moment he walks in. He just loves the freedom of a country setting and interaction with their baby girl. We receive regular updates and pictures of his activities. We trust Rachel and would recommend her to anyone looking for quality care.
This is my second time booking with Rachel! She was so flexible when I asked her to care for my boy last minute. She goes above and beyond to make sure he is well cared for. Thank you Rachel!
Rachel was fantastic!!! I did not have one worry while I was away. She took the time to get to know my dog and learn his daily routines. She went above and beyond to care for my boy. He had a blast staying with Rachel!!

Information Rachel R. would like to know about your pet
It’s necessary to know about any special needs your pets may have, ranging from dietary restrictions to behavioral concerns. I am very accommodating, and with your help, will provide the best care possible for special needs. Please include the following in your care instructions and/or inquiry: - Interactions with children - Allergies (food/environmental) - Toy or treat restrictions - History of destructive behavior - History of reactivity (such as barking/lunging on leash, guarding food or toys, or uncontrollable excitement) - History of separation anxiety (see additional information below) In case of an emergency, I would like to have your veterinarian's contact information (name, phone numbers, address) on hand. Does your pet(s) have a separation anxiety when boarding away from home? If yes, please bring some of your pet(s)’ favorite toys, any type of t-shirt, bed and/or blanket that has your home scent for your pet(s) to feel home and safe.
A typical day
The hospitalities I will be providing your happy tails at Paws on the Farm are all the freedoms they can have on my Farm including: Outdoors: - Access to 1.5 acres of land to play and run in - Access to the 7 acres of lake and several other ponds to swim in - Access to various trails in the area (total 3 miles) Indoors: -Renovated, Air Conditioned and spacious room of their own to play in -Queen bed (If you require crate, please bring) - Access to mini walk in shower to bathe ($5 Extra per paw) -TV with cartoon channels (DirectTV) -Toys and game activities (Great for rainy days!) -Plenty of cuddles from me The lake is a private owned property and is walking distance from my front door for the paws to jump in! During your paw's stay, I would love to grow and build my friendship with them. My goals are to ensure paws are comfortable being away from home and to know they are very much loved. Also, to ensure paws are back home with you in a constant happy wagging tail and begging to come back to Paws on the Farm! If you have any *safety concerns* while daycare/board on the Farm: Escape Prevention- I have a big fenced yard around the house before entering the entire Ranch. The driveway has a gate as well. When walking on the trails on the Farm, I will use a leash like we do at the park. When swimming at the Lake, the lake is still inside another “fenced” Ranch. I will discuss safety options with you (unleash, leashed at the Lake or use a mini pool and water sprinkler in the yard.) Daycare/Boarding with Multiples- I will be happy to do several paws as long as they come from the same owner to prevent anxiety and stress on other paws coming from different owners. My style of care is completely based on your needs and the needs of your dogs. I am aware that some dogs are active and playful while some like to nap and relax. I am prepared to accommodate any temperament, age, or activity level, in addition to supplying you with daily updates and photos upon request.
