Pet care experience
Hello! I'm Rachel, a teacher with a long-standing affection for dogs, old and young, large and small. I have been around dogs since I was an born, and I would love to get to know your furry friend, too! Every dog has a unique personality and needs, and I strive to treat every animal as if he or she were my own. I have a well-socialized Border Collie named Athena, and I’m happy to bring her along if your pet needs stimulation or would gain confidence having another dog around or on walks. She’s been going to doggie daycare since she was a puppy, and gets along with all types of dogs. I am available for overnight sitting as well as dog walking. I am also comfortable taking your dog to grooming appointments, the vet, and administering medication. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns!
Reviews
This was our first time leaving our newly adopted dog for a trip. Rachel took great care of our very energetic Duke, always keeping us updated about everything that was going on.

Safety, trust & environment
As the mom of a high energy and smart dog, I know the importance of both physical and mental stimulation! Long walks, either in your neighborhood or a park, are always important, but mental games like snuffle mats and puzzles are also vital to enriching your dog’s day! I promise to be respectful of your home, communicative and responsible. I aim to provide the same level of care I want for my fur baby!

Information Rachel P. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog is dog-reactive. My preference would be to bring my own dog with me on our walks, but I can of course adjust that if your dog prefers being on their own. Please also provide a handy list of allergies, medications, and the contact info for your vet!
A typical day
Depending on your dog’s energy and comfort levels, we will take some walks, either in your neighborhood or in a park (I’m partial towards Levy for short ones, and Memorial for longer walks). We’ll play some fun brain-teasing games - I’ve got puzzles and snuffle mats - and end the day with some snuggles.
