Hello, my name is Rachel. I started pet sitting in high school with friends and family. I used Rover for a long time but took a small break to help with personal family matters. Now that I am more situated, I figured I'd use my spare time doing something I love (pet sitting!). I have pet sat dogs of all sizes, and although I prefer housetrained dogs, I look at all of them as family. I own two terrier-mixes myself, so I understand the importance of treating fur-friends with the same loyalty and love that they show us. I have cared for dogs that aren't doing so well in their health, and I have cared for dogs who are energetic as four-year-olds. I like to go on hikes and long walks, but I also like to stay home and watch movies. No matter the personality of your dog, I'm sure we'll get a long. Taking care of a dog comes with a big responsibility as they're most likely to be used to a schedule of when they're fed, taken on walks, and any other important parts of their lives such as medication or nap time. I try my best to adhere to your dogs schedule and needs. If a dog is staying with me, they will have potty breaks every 1 to 2 hours. They'll also get several walks unless we are allowed to go on a hike, then they'll be tagging along on some fun adventures. Dogs are playful creatures so there's of course going to have lots of play time with their favorite toys. If your pup is a couch potato, then I don't mind at all binge watching a Netflix show with them. I prefer guidelines by owners so I know exactly how to take care of their family.
