I hesitated in placing this review but it seems like the problems from Rachel's last stay at my house are never ending! The first time I used Rachel I believe it went very well. I came home to dirty dishes in the sink but that's not the end of the world. This last stay, however, has been extremely disappointing. I once again came home to dirty dishes in the sink and I am still finding random cigarette butts in my back yard. Once again, not the end of the world, but not fun to come home to at 11:30pm. My primary concern during my trip was knowing that she had her boyfriend stay at my house with her most of the time I was gone WITHOUT my knowledge or permission. What frustrated me even more is that a few days before I left she came over and we chatted about her ex-boyfriend! At no point in this conversation did she mention a new boyfriend or ask if he could come over. I spent a lot of time on my trip worried about this and I was very upset. I did not say anything until I returned because I had to consider the safety of my pets and my home. I emailed her to let her know that I knew she had him over and I let her know that this was unacceptable. I received no response. Not an explanation, not an apology, nothing. I also noticed the day after my return that my back gate was not closing properly. I texted her to ask her if she knew if anything had happened. She said she did not. I had someone out last week to look at the gate and was told that the way something like this happens is when people climb/jump the gate. The weight of the person/people shifts the post in the ground and the gate leans inward. The post now has to be removed from the ground and reset. I will say that I have no proof at all that her, her boyfriend, or any of their friends jumped the gate. What I do know is that the gate was fine the day before I left on vacation and it was not fine within 12 hours of my return from vacation. Rachel is great with animals, it is obvious that she loves animals and they seem to love her. The point of this review is to make all clients aware that if you choose Rachel for an in home stay while you are gone on vacation that you know what you may potentially be dealing with. I have been back from vacation for 6 weeks and I am still dealing with the ramifications of the time I was away. I trusted her with my home and my pets because I found her off a recommendation from a friend and because the first stay seemed to go very well. I am extremely disappointed that during this stay she proved herself to be unprofessional and untrustworthy.

Lilly has really taken to Rachel. Rachel came over for a visit on short notice. She is excellent with the dog, and Lilly responds well to her. Very, very pleased.
