Pet care experience
My partner and I have 2 cats and a dog! All 3 of our pets are rescues and joined our family when they were babies. Our eldest cat just turned 13 and the younger one will be 9 in August. Our dog is 3 years old and still keeps people guessing her breed. Our 13 year old lady is diabetic, so I have experience administering injected insulin 2x a day, following a specific diet food plan, and ensuring she gets proper attention. Our dog has high anxiety so I am experienced with supporting animals that may be reactive, need time to build trust with new folks, or may need some medication to support their special needs. I take pride in my patience and ability to genuinely connect with animals. My partner sells pet insurance with Nationwide! We love love love the pet care community.

Rachel did visits with our 2 dogs while we were on a family vacation. Everything went well and she was very good with them. The dogs were happy and peaceful when we got back home which shows how well Rachel did! We highly recommend Rachel.

Our cats are strictly indoor kitties. Our home does not have a yard, but we are situated in an area with ample trails, green space, and accessible walking areas. We have a 3-bedroom, two-story condo and our cats spend 95% of their time in the master bedroom. Inversely, our dog spends most of her free time downstairs unless she's sleeping in her crate in our bedroom. Our downstairs is separated by a pet-gate so separation of pets is easy to initiate, if needed.

A typical day
I am adaptable to the needs and routines of your furchild/ren! Extended walks and loooots of playtime, you got it. Cuddles, quality time due to low-energy, mobility, or health restrictions, you got it! My dog loves to hike and is great hiking with other dogs. I am good at basic positive reinforcement/training/tricks if that is something you want me to work on with your pup!
