The first dog I ever met was a HUGE family friend’s Dalmation. He may not have actually been as huge as I remember but to a two year old, he was my massive new best friend. I have so many fond memories of frequently going over to visit him and getting licks all over my face. It was from that moment in time that I knew dogs were going to be a big part of my life. We went on to adopt a family dog and it was through caring for him that I learned how to properly walk, train and feed a pup. I’m looking forward to owning my own dog in the near future but until I find the right fit, I’ve decided to help others care for their pets while they’re away. What sets me apart as a caregiver is I will always make sure to leave a house I’m watching in better shape than when I found it. I wipe down any surface I use, and keep the areas I’m in tidy and trash-free. When it comes to the pups, I take as much time as needed to get to know my canine clients so I can be well in tune with their needs. Clients tend to book with me consistently because I am responsible, well organized and I take care of their dogs as if they were my own! When I’m not pet-sitting on Rover, I am working for “The RIDE” an interactive tour bus. I’m also continuing my training as a performer daily. Overall, I’m extremely athletic and when the weather is right I enjoy taking my clients’ pups on runs outside. With owner approval, I might share a piece or two of the organic treats I always keep in my pocket. I use those to get a dog’s attention and then further connect with them on a personal level so I can learn what their signals are and get them comfortable in my presence.
