Pet care experience
I have been caring for, sitting, training, and walking family and neighborhood dogs since I was 12 years old. I don't currently have any pets of my own because of apartment regulations, so I have been taking care of others' for the past few years. I'm truly a lover of all animals, but am particularly sensitive to the needs of senior dogs, young puppies, and also pets with health issues and anxiety. I've worked with plenty of dogs with reactivity issues and anxiety, and have a soft spot for dogs that require a little extra love. I also grew up with hunting dogs so am familiar with the needs of very high energy pups.

Rachel is fantastic. She proposed a meet and greet and asked great questions about our 2 senior dogs that needed a walk. She arrived on time, was proactively communicating and shared great pictures. I hope we can book her again next time we’re out of town. Highly recommend her!

Please let me know your feeding and walk schedules. I'd also like to know if your dog takes any medication, has any specific health issues, or if there are training priorities you'd like me to keep in mind. Please also give instructions for any off-leash time you'd like them to have (in dog parks, regular parks, or hiking trails) so I can be sure they're safe. It's always helpful to know if your dog has any other behavioral issues I should know about, including reactivity to people or dogs, going after trash on the street, etc.
A typical day
We can hit the dog parks nearby or do a nice long trek around the city if your dog is higher energy. If you have cats or less active pups, I am happy to keep your pet company or play with them while you're out.

Availability
I'm a PhD student so I have a mix of classes and meetings during the week days. I have class in-person for a couple hours on most Mondays and Tuesdays but everything else is on zoom and my schedule is pretty flexible. Message me and we can discuss if specific times work for walks and visits.
