Hi I'm Rachel a 23 year old who is currently full time in post-secondary courses online and working hard to hopefully one day achieving my doctorate. I'm looking to make some extra money, and I have always enjoyed spending time with pets. Growing up I owned two yorkies that are different as day and night, but because of that I have learnt a lot. Unlike some dog sitters/walkers I know how important the emotional needs of dogs are, as well as exercise. My one dog is insensitive to almost everything and needs to run Run RUN! However my other dog is sensitive to almost everything and needs to take a break from stimulus as much as he needs to be exercised. So with dog sitting and walking I will always try and be aware of the needs of your dog. As an adult I’ve had my own experience with fearful and reactive dogs and have learnt even more on how to emotionally be there for dogs. I am planning on getting my pet first aid and CPR as soon as possible. Currently I am awaiting to start my dog trainer certification course in may 2023. I have knowledge and experience training dogs, providing enrichment, walking dogs, and making dogs comfortable during their stay.
