Since house sitting for the dogs of family and friends, I have loved taking care of others' pets big and small, young and old, energetic and extra snuggly. I've been blessed to have the opportunity to be especially attentive to our dear senior dog-izens.

Rachel was very friendly and stepped up at the last minute to watch Bobbie when a previously booked house sitting was canceled. She and Bobbie enjoyed great hikes together.
A colleague recommended Rachel to provide housesit with our two sweet pups while we were traveling for 10 days. Rachel communicated proactively and visited our home prior to the trip to meet the girls and get oriented. I could tell from the very beginning that Rachel was thoughtful and conscientious. Our pups clearly felt comfortable with her from the very beginning. Rachel communicated a couple times during our trip to provide brief updates and reassurance. This was our preference because we had limited phone/internet, although I'm sure she would have updated daily if we requested. When we returned, our home was clean and tidy. The pups were both happy and had clearly been brushed and exercised through our time away. It was a relief to know the girls were in such good hands! We will absolutely contact Rachel next time we will be away.
Rachel has cared for our 3 yr old chocolate lab (Hank) on numerous occasions. She has provided various services from checking on Hank and letting him outside when I would be late getting home to house sitting and taking care of Hank while I was out of town. Rachel is amazing with Hank, she takes him on walks, plays ball with him and even trains him to do new tricks. Rachel is very responsible, professional and more importantly loves dogs. I would highly recommend Rachel, she is more than just a dog sitter she's a dog companion. Hank gets very excited every time she walks in the door. We love Rachel.

Whether house sitting or just coming over to visit with your pets, I will be respectful of your home like it's my own and keep it clean like it's my Mom's. :) The safety and comfort of your fur babies is my top priority. I always try to be mindful of their body language and will follow your exact instructions.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I can account for. I am diligent about distributing any medications safely and on time. I will put your Vet/Emergency numbers on speed dial as well as keep your general instructions both in my phone and printed out.
A typical day
I love to stimulate your pets both physically and mentally. We'll play with toys or check out smells around the neighborhood. On occasion, I'd like to drive to a nearby park (something new but not too far) for long walks and socialization. In the evenings, we'll snuggle up with a relaxing movie or play out those last bit of zoomies. I'm happy when the dogs are comfy dozing in their favorite spot or calmly put into their kennel.

Availability
I'm generally available all-day Tuesday, Thursday, and the Weekend. On other days, I have time to play with your pups in evenings, and I'm happy to safely drive them to a daycare if available. I adore spending time outside going on short hikes and/or long walks.
