My Dog=My Best Friend,UR Dog=My 2nd

Pet care experience

Hi! People always say to me, “Rachel, your dog is not your child. Stop treating him like one”. And to that I say, ...Not really but you get the point ;) I treat all pets with love and kindness because like people, that’s what they deserve. I’ve grown up with dogs and other pets all my life and for the last five years I’ve had the honor of calling my bulldog Patrick, My best friend. If you know anything about bulldogs, they are very high maintenance with their physical/medical health needs. I consider myself to be a very attentive and responsible bulldog owner and take my job as a bulldog parent very seriously. I would do the same with your dog/pet. My full-time job is in the mental health field where I’ve seen how animals truly are therapeutic beings by nature. I’d love to have the opportunity to care for your furry family member and can certainly provide references upon request! Thank you very much for considering me!

Rachel would make an outstanding dog walker and dog sitter! She is kind, compassionate and a lover of animals. Her own dog "Patrick", a bulldog, gets the best care and love of any pet I have seen. Rachel has taken care of our dog, Maddie, a Cockapoo, numerous times and we were delighted with her care for Maddie. Rachel is punctual and can be depended on to give your pet a loving short term home.

Rachel is excellent with animals. She is loving and energetic and firm when she needs to be. Her love and care for animals is above par.

Rachel loves dogs more than anyone I've ever met in my life. She absolutely dotes on any dogs that are around her. Her dog, Patrick, loves to be around other dogs as well. Rachel is so mindful of any needs that other dogs may have while she's with them and actively watches for any safety concerns that might occur. I completely trust her (and Patrick!) with my own pup. You won't regret booking Rachel as your next dog sitter!

Information Rachel M. would like to know about your pet

No breed preferences. I’d like to know commands they respond to, level of training, daily routine, sleep schedule, allergies, emergency contact information, food do’s and dont’s, level of socialization, any trauma in the past, and favorite treat :)

A typical day

I’m extremely flexible and adaptable. I am used to my bulldog who unlike some bulldogs, is very active at times (I mean, he did get 3rd place in the Canterbury bulldog races in 2016) :) I’m also used to him snoring in my ear as we cuddle on the couch. I guess what I’m saying is that I love being active with dogs (i.e. going on walks/hikes, going to dog parks, taking dogs to dog-friendly venues, etc.) I also love a dog that just wants to relax and give/receive some affection. I am a very social person and believe that our pets should also be social and socialized by their pet parents. I would love to get to know your pet!
