Pet care experience
*NO LONGER BOARDING AT THIS TIME* I joined Rover after noticing a gap in the market. Searching for a sitter is daunting. Home or corporate daycares juggling numerous dogs at once can’t possibly cater to each dog’s unique needs. Many dogs, my dog included, are not good candidates for that high-energy environment. I take one dog at a time and provide individualized, structured care. Leaving your dog with a sitter can be an emotional experience. Will they be left alone in distress? Will they be given their meds? Will they be yelled at? I certainly worry about those things when I leave my own dog in someone else’s care! Replicating a dog’s routine to minimize stress while you are away is SO important. As a dog mom myself, I have done extensive research on dog behavior, nutrition, training, and longevity. My dog is my world. I currently WFH in marketing, but my passion projects include networking, volunteering, and fostering for dog shelters. I also serve as an adoption counselor for a local NorCal dog rescue. I've worked with hundreds of dogs ranging from weeks old to hospice age, many saved from euthanasia. Under my care, your dog will never be subjected to aversive techniques. I lead with compassion and gentleness. No yelling, yanking, or punishing. I have a very peaceful and clean apartment, making my spot especially ideal for senior citizens, nervous buddies, or dogs working through separation anxiety ✨ My own dog has separation anxiety so you can rest assured, I understand! - I am team #spayneuter for matured adults. I will confirm! - Potty trained please‼️ - No breed or owner discrimination here 🌈
Reviews
Rachel was amazing with my 4 month old energetic pup! He is not leash trained yet, and she was very patient with him. She communicated well and sent great photos. I would definitely recommend her!
Rachel was great with our anxious dog Chloe! I’m very selective with making sure someone is qualified to properly handle our dog who is people-reactive, and Chloe was very calm and settled after her first walk with Rachel. Rachel knew how to calmly meet our chloe and avoid chloe’s triggers, all the while building trust with treats!
Rachel did a great job at taking our last minute request in an emergency situation. She also did a great job loving on our little girl Bree. We will book with her again!
Rachel is going to be my official pet sitter from here on out, she is outstanding! My dog clearly had a amazing time based off the photos and videos she sent me while I was away. She is extremely patient and caring, highly recommend!

ADDITIONAL INFO _____________________ I have a 55 pound rescue mutt who will leave your dog alone, unless he/she wants to play. The couch potato may be convinced :) I live within walking distance of several parks - Moscone, Lafayette, Allyne, and Fort Mason to name a few. In case of an emergency, we have a car, an expansive first aid kit, and a vet up the street. I have training in pet first aid and CPR.
Information Rachel M. would like to know about your pet
Love to talk about your dog endlessly? I have a set list of questions that I will ask every dog parent to ensure the safety and health of everyone. Daycare rates are based on an 8.5 hour day with regular hours from 8am to 8pm. Extra $10 flat fee for early drop offs or late pick ups. I will provide a discount on daycare if you need care for under four hours.
A typical day
Mental exercise can be just as tiring as physical. Ever heard of snuffle mats, lick mats, kongs, and puzzles? Evenings in the park are common, along with shorter walks during the work day
