Furry friends are the best friends!
Pet care experience
I have been caring for animals since the age of 15. Whether it be family, friends or referrals from those friends, I will take any opportunity I can to care for an animal. While most of my experience is with dogs and cats, I have cared for many pets/family members. Including rats, guinea pigs, chinchillas, lizards, a tarantula, birds and fish. I have experience with and am comfortable with bathing, minimal grooming/brushing, administering medication, as well as any other necessary care associated with your pet. I have experience with senior dogs and cats, as well as a young deaf dog that I regularly cared for over a 2 year period. In a perfect world, I would be surrounded by animals all day every day. If you have any questions for me, I would be happy to answer!
Reviews
We have used Rachel to drop in and administer medication to our cats on a few occasions now. She has been great each time and has been super flexible when our travel plans change. We will continue to seek her out first whenever we need someone to care for our cats.
Rachel was great as always checking in and administering medicine to our cat. This is the 2nd time we’ve used her and will go back to her again.
We are very pleased with the care that Rachel of our older cat while we were out of town. Our old boy was placed on some difficult medications to administer and needed it twice a day. Rachel treated him with so much care - just like we would. She very caring and professional, an excellent choice to look after your pets!
My dog, Tucker, is very picky about who he likes. Very few people pass his “welcome” test. Rachel passed it from the moment they met. He immediately welcomed her and invited her into our home. Tucker also had separation anxiety, which is why he can’t be left alone, and will sit by the door just waiting for me to come home when other people watch him. He interacted with Rachel and had a great time. Rachel took photos of him playing with a big smile and a wagging tail! Mason was an addition to our home as a puppy recently and she is very attentive to him as well. She makes sure he doesn’t do anything that will injure him and makes sure he is included in play. Rachel has my complete trust with my dogs.

Top priority for me is maintaining the safety, happiness and overall well-being of your furry family member(s) in your absence. It's important to me that your pet(s) feel comfortable with me and anything that they are used to, I'm more than happy to work with you to accommodate. I used to provide care for a pair of senior cats. One of them was diabetic and a bit overweight. The other had some arthritis in his back legs and was going blind. The diabetic cat required special attention while being fed and needed exercise in small amounts throughout the visit. The other cat would get separation anxiety, so I would spend extra time sitting with him in his owner's chair. He would also occasionally have trouble using the litter box properly, so there were times I needed to clean up after him. I was also asked to turn on classical music for them whenever I'd leave the home. I tell you this story because it was one of my very first pet sitting experiences and it greatly influenced my love for caring for animals. If you enjoy receiving them, I like to give plenty of updates. Ultimately, my goal is to ensure the time I spend with your pet is a fun and comfortable experience for everyone.
