I am an experienced animal caregiver, from dog walking to pet boarding. I love working with any size, age or breed of pet. Volunteering at shelters has always been a passion of mine and I aim to help in any way to maintain an animal’s well being. I am well suited for an active job, being a Certified Housekeeper; I am used to working actively on my feet for long shifts. Professional Dog Walking: I trained professionally for 2 weeks and then was employed with a dog walking company in Brooklyn. I understand how to stay aware of my surroundings and ensure the safety of my animals. Pet Fostering: A trait that I have obtained from my family, I will always take care of an animal that is in need. Took in a pregnant stray cat. We created a safe environment in our home for her to nurse her kittens which we then adopted out to trustworthy homes. Adopted and nursed several stray cats and dogs. Some of them were kept as family pets, and some were adopted out. Volunteering: I started volunteering at a young age and it is a mission for me to help animals that are neglected or unable to care for themselves. My tasks included bathing pets, sewing together beds for the shelter dogs, playing with the animals, cleaning the cages, feeding and fundraising. Dog Training: I have trained all of my family dogs as well as friends and neighbors. Breeds I have worked with include: German Shepherd, Australian Shepherd, Chihuahua, Husky Mix, Pomeranian, and Pug. Commands include: sit, stay, lay down, high five, play dead, drop-it and leave-it.
