We couldn't be happier! Usually when we go out of town we send our dog to a family member but there have been a few situations where our family has been unavailable as well. In the past we have taken him to another place that was good but he was kept in a pen with what we felt like was little human contact compared to what he gets at home and with our family....and it took him days to recover. He would come home to us depressed and skinny. We needed someone to watch Dirk (our high energy AmStaff Terrier Puppy) That is when I found Rachel on dogvacay.com. She returned my email almost immediately and I asked for a meet and greet within that same hour .... and then sprung it on her that if it worked out I would just leave him there with her because we needed to be out of town. She was so amazing and made me feel sooooo good about leaving our pup with her. The only thing I was worried about was if he would be to much for her but soon after dropping him off I got a text and a picture showing he was a happy boy.... that put me at such ease!!! She kept me updated with pics and texts and I felt soooo much better leaving him w her and her family who all took such great care of him. They took him on walks and loved him like part of their family! When we got home Dirk was happy, and healthy.... like we never even left. It was such a great experience.
