Active dog lover supports pups

Pet care experience

My dog is family and so is yours. Please inquire about specifics in your message. I intend to make sure that I know your emergency contacts and that they get the exercise they need if they are socialized or not. I will reinforce commands and tricks with treats and make sure that they feel comfortable where they sleep. I am happy to provide a live feed of your dog will away as well. I want to be a dog sitter because I want to spend more time with dogs. If I can practice professionally, my pup benefits when I come home to her. I am new at dog sitting on Rover.com, however I am adaptive to special needs and have 4 years of training my own dog at Kali K9 and with two dog behaviorists when I adopted my girl in 2015. I am her pack leader and her friend. I can be your pup's short term freind as well. What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience with special needs dogs. I am not going to just show up and play with your dog. I am going to make sure things are in order, they are fed on time, things are neat - clean up after any messes and try to prevent them from happening again under my watch. I will make sure that your dog is tired out and happily exercised. I will never take them to unsafe environments, keep them on leash outside at all times and remain aware of triggers or behaviors you are trying to reinforce at all times. I can also send you pictures while you are away to make sure that you know your dog is still at home and being properly taken care of. Describe what the pet's routine would be like in your care. When we meet for the first time I will always ask 3 things: 1. Favorite toy and comfort level with new people? (I can do multiple visits to establish familiarity before a trip if needed. ) 2. What is their feeding and walking routine - I want to make sure to take them to familiar places if they need exercise outside. If you have a back yard, that is even better. We can play with the toys you point out, and I can leave some kong and peanutbutter when I leave between check-ins. 3. What is the best place to call in case of emergencies. (My dog gets a little nervous with new people while mom and dad are away. I will keep you informed and will ask what is the best immediate plan of action if there is anything out of the ordinary from the way you first introduced your dog to me) My availability is in the early morning and in the evening after dinner. I can do occasional lunch breaks in the middle of the week days if you are within a 15 min drive of Sunnyvale. However, I do work full time and walk my pup daily, so I will only be able to do one dog sit gig at a time. I will spend 30 mins at a time with each drop in and 45mins to 60 mins for each walk. My girl will never interact with you companions. She is a solo dog and will stay at home on her own turf. I will never mix her with your dogs. Sorry friends. :) You will be spoiled by me alone.

This is long due! We were very apprehensive of leaving our furbaby anywhere and hence we didnt make many trips. But last december we really needed to make a trip and we left Hero boy in the safe hands of Rachel for 15+ days. Not only does Rachel have compassion (she has a dog of her own that needs help) but she also knows how to keep them engaged, happy and tired, well-fed. I am soooooo grateful and happy that Rachel was Hero's doggy parent when we were away for 15ish days!!!. I couldn't have found a better, caring person to look after every one of his needs, giving my 95 pounder such long walks. In addition to daily updates and pics.. (which was refreshing for mom) She also left such a lovely letter to Hero and us, is happy! :)

From the beginning of the booking to the last visit, Rachel was great! Each rover card provided great detail of the visits, keeping our minds at ease. And she was super accommodating when we wanted to add a last minute visit to the stays. Highly recommend her services and will definitely use her services for future bookings!

We had Rachel drop in for visits with our dog, Roscoe last week when we were out of town for a few days. We are absolutely thrilled with her!!! She is super detail oriented and took a great deal of time to make sure that everyone was comfortable. Since we are new to the area and our dog is reactive to other dogs, we were a bit nervous about finding a sitter or boarding facility that would be comfortable with this. Rachel totally understands the struggles of adopting an older, reactive dog, and handled ours like a champ! We are so glad we found her and will absolutely be working with her again:)
