Pet care experience
I grew up very allergic to all animals yet BEGGED my parents for a dog. I was so obsessed with animals that I memorized the entire Dogs101 breed book and would stop people on the sidewalk at 6 years old and ask if their dog was some incredibly obscure breed (I was always correct). My parents got me a guinea pig and I took such good care of it that it lived for 10 years. Guinea pigs typically live 5-7 years for reference. Since then, an elderly neighbor surrendered their parakeet to me as I used to play with and talk to it daily (since passed), along with four goldfish, which all grew so large under my care that I had to transfer them to my aunts koi pond where they are currently thriving. My family has had three dogs total (2 of which are still alive) that I would die for. In my household, I was responsible for morning long run and afternoon feeding when I lived with my parents and took my duties seriously. I have worked on multiple farms caring for cows, chickens and horses and am therefore no stranger to large animals. With regards to walking your pets, I am not a small individual 5'8", nor am I weak and will not be dragged down the street by your large pup (my first unofficial dog-walking job was for a neighbor's massive Newfoundland when I was 10 and I refused to let the dog yank me down the sidewalk).
Reviews
Rachel is really friendly and very reliable. She took great care of my pup!
Rachel went above and beyond while checking on my kitty!
Rachel is super awesome !
Rachel loves dogs! She is very calm and intuitive with them and they can sense this about her. She is very responsible and dependable. Rachel is the person you want caring for your dog while you can not be there.

Safety, trust & environment
As I am renting a singular room at the moment, I am not allowed to accommodate pets and all care must be based in the clients home. I am very respectful of other people's spaces and will do only as instructed within the home. Growing up, my dogs were not allowed on the furniture, nor were they allowed to jump on any people, so I am used to firm but gentle discipline if that should be requested!
Information Rachel L. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know explicitly if your dog has exhibited aggression towards other dogs/pets/people, or if it is anxious. Please let me know as well if your house/apartment has a fenced in area! Thanks :)
A typical day
I typically walk the dogs I care for (dog sit) at least twice a day (lengthy walk.. 1.5-3 miles depending on energy of dog), and take them out for restroom breaks another 2-3 times. I prefer off leash nature walks over pavement but I understand many pet owners aren’t comfortable with that!
Services

Availability
I am currently out of school and do not have a job that requires me to be on-site daily, so I have plenty of freedom and availability to stop in for feeding time and can take plenty of time out of my day to go for a walk/run! I am very active and have tons of energy, so your dog will certainly be tired at the end of the day (unless of course they require less activity, which I will cater to).
