Rachel's ReTreat for All Pets
Pet care experience
*About Rachel*: I have years of experience caring for animals of all kinds, and I truly respect and enjoy them. My husband and I are huge dog lovers specifically, and have been walking, hosting, and visiting dogs of all varieties - big and small, from Malteses to Bull Mastiffs. I have taken care of puppies and nursing mothers, elderly dogs, blind dogs, dogs that require medication, etc. I have also taken care of cats of all ages and personality types, as well! *Availability*: I am currently unavailable for pet services as we're expecting our new son sometime during the holiday season. I will miss my furry friends but we are excited for the new baby, and hopefully once we've had some time to settle in to our new family, we'll be back in action on Rover by spring. *Rates*: I do not mind combining walks & home visits if you're looking for a little bit of both. The following rates apply for either service: $15/30 mins. $20/45 mins. $25/60 mins. *More about the care I provide...* I am very careful about making sure I cater to each dog's individual needs, because each one is unique! I want to know as much as possible about your dog's nature, background, and routines so that I can make them feel as comfortable as possible when walking or visiting them. I am consistent about checking in with you for each walk or home visit including photos and a thorough update about our adventures! I make sure your pet gets the BEST play, attention, and exercise while they're in my care! Let's talk soon!
Reviews
Bailey loves her walks with Rachel and Yoko, and I love the fabulous pictures Rachel sends of my furbaby.
Rachel is amazing! Our rescue lab is very fearful of the world outside our house and doesn't like to go outside without mommy and daddy. Rachel was able to read her behavior and adjust the routine to best fit the situation. As a result, Kahlua went out with Rachel for a whole 10 days with no problems. We received pictures and detailed updates every time Rachel came over, including kisses and cuddles. We will definitely have Rachel take care of Kahlua the next time we are gone.
Bailey loves her walks with Rachel (and Yoko), and I love the photo updates and peace of mind that comes with knowing my pup got some playtime when I'm stuck late at work. Rachel is reliable, kind, and great with dogs. Two thumbs up!
Rachel and her husband are amazing hosts! She was so sweet and communicative and we never worried about our dog during the entirety of our (almost two week) honeymoon! The only worry we had was whether he'd even remember us :) She was great about sending daily pictures and updates. We couldn't ask for a better experience. Don't hesitate to book her!

Information Rachel L. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your pet, I would like to know the following: if they are fixed, what their typical daily schedule is like (potty time, eating time, etc.), where they are used to being kept when you're away from the home, where they are used to sleeping at night, if they are accustomed to walks and dog parks, how they do with new people, pets, and places in general, if they are housebroken, if they have any anxiety/separation anxiety/chewing or destructive habits, what type of commands they are accustomed to (sit, stay, come, etc.), when they are used to eating and what their serving sizes are, how they do in the car, and any other behavioral tendencies you feel I should know about! A few extra notes: Extra large dogs (80+ lbs.) will have an additional daily fee of $5 for extra clean-up and exercise.
A typical day
I would treat yours as my own, while respecting the routines that they are most accustomed to! When I walk your pup, I take them on a trip around the area you live in. However, if you prefer they get a little change of scenery, I'd be more than happy to drive them to a nearby park for an additional charge.
