Currently over all I have quite a bit of flexibility with my schedule. I have my own small business that is sporadic gig work on the weekends. Most events last 4 to 6 hours, maximum 8 hours, and not every weekend has events.

I prefer to pet sit in the home the pets belong to. I find that with most animals it's incredibly stressful to move them, staying in their home with them minimalizes that stress. It also allows for easier medicine administration. I like to meet the pets and owners ahead of staying with them, this is to again reduce the stress on your pet when I show up without you as well as to observe the quality of care you are administering to your fur babies.
Information rachel l. would like to know about your pet
I prefer to visit and observe how you administer medication and how your pet reacts to the process. Sometime when you deviate from their normal process it can stress them out. How to play with your pet is also important. Not everyone plays the same, it helps me out know that ahead of time.
A typical day
I try to match the energy of whoever I'm babysitting. If they want to play outside, great! If they'd rather hang out inside, also great! The only thing I'm not ok with is world domination.

Medically needy pet? I can help!
Pet care experience
Over the years I have cared for a variety of animals, including domestic, exotic, and livestock. Friends and family have trusted me to care for their medically needy animals over the past decade and I am now opening that service up to Rover. I'm not a vet tech but I am comfortable and experienced administering a variety of medical treatments like insulin injections, pill regiments, eye drops/skin ointments, and subq fluids. Leaving town with a pet can be stressful, especially one that needs specialized care. I can help.

Reviews
I can't rave about Rachel enough! She has been a real lifesaver. I have two medically dependent cats, that require medication three times a day, one of them needs insulin shots twice a day and one needs IVs every other day on top of four medications daily. She also helps out by watching my chickens and caring for them as well. I love being able to go away from home and know that all of my babies are in great hands. When she first started pet sitting she came over to learn how we exactly administer our medications to make sure that she could follow the exact protocols needed. My cat's absolutely love her. I can't speak highly enough! She is absolutely someone that I trust and have had many good experiences with. I hope she never stops pet sitting!
Rachel is what is an absolute pro when it comes to animal care. I travel a lot for work and I have older cats who have accidents and are very nervous about being left alone. Not only does Rachel follow the exact steps of care that I leave for her she is great when it comes to an emergency and having to administer medicine. When I travel, she makes sure that I don't come home to a mess and my animals have been not only cared for but she spends time with them, learns their routines and esures they are safe in my absence. The only reason I was able to take the job that I have is because I have the peace of mind that Rachel is there when I'm not.
I have two senior dogs that have many ailments with a plethora of medications, food requirements as well as injections needed twice weekly. Rachel has spent numerous times staying in our home and taking care of our boys for weeks at a time. She is incredibly knowledgeable, empathetic towards our dogs’ needs and fun for them to “staycation” with while we were away. They both quickly became obsessed and infatuated with Rachel. She is so amazing with animals and I couldn’t recommend anyone else I would trust more with our dogs and our home. Rachel is professional, organized, trustworthy and just the best kind of human out there. It is easy to give my wholehearted recommendation to Rachel when looking for the best of the best pet care out there. Please feel free to reach out if you want more accolades regarding Rachel. Truly the best of the best!
