Mostly feline care at this time

Pet care experience

Hello there! I have been an animal lover since day 1! I live in Hillsboro with my husband and our two kids, ages 19 and 12 all of which are avid animal lovers as well! We have a very friendly golden retriever and four crazy kitties. I have worked for a veterinary hospital for the last 22 years and am still currently employed there. I can administer medications, injections and SQ fluids (for the well behaved fur babies) and I absolutely love cats if you're in need of feline care. I work part time at the veterinary hospital 3 days a week, full days, so my time is limited on those days. I'm usually available during the evenings and most any time on Wednesdays, Fridays and weekends. If any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I’m currently working part time (Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays). But I usually have time on Wednesdays, Fridays and some weekends. Would love to spend time with your pet! I am currently mainly doing feline care/housesitting due to my hours at work. Though I can occasionally do a dog walk or drop in visit.

Drop-In Visits • Sep 11, 2018

Rachel did an excellent job checking in on my cats, rabbit, & small fish tank when I was out of town for several days! :) She even sends status texts, photos, videos, & writes a little report about how each visit went in the end - Definitely peace-of-mind for us on how things were going at home!! I will definitely request for her again when we are out of town. I love how she even spends quality time giving our pets love and attention each day for us!!! :D !!!THANK YOU VERY MUCH RACHEL!!!!

Drop-In Visits • Jan 07, 2018

Rachel was AMAZING! We were gone for two weeks over the holidays and had Rachel stop by every other day to check on our cat, Piper. Rachel left detailed notes on the feeding, watering, and litter box scooping... and sent several pictures each time she stopped by! When we arrived home we think Piper was disappointed it was us and not Rachel. We definitely recommend her, she was very pleasant and professional!

Rachel was great! I dropped Bartley off Tuesday morning, and she sent me updates right away. Unfortunately, while Bartley was there, he felt it was his duty to mark the house his by lifting his leg (side note: he is completely potty trained at our house and has been since about 14 weeks), so this was completely a surprise to me. But Rachel handled it with grace, and made sure I wasn't too embarrassed! Bartley got along with her dog well it seemed, and she sent me photos of our dogs together on walks, so i'm certain he got the exercise he needed. I was able to relax during my time away, and I really credit her for that! I would definitely book her! She was even able to drop Bartley off at home the day of our return, since our flight got in late. All in all, she was a wonderful host and i'm very appreciative!!!

I love all breeds! I would love to walk any breed and size dog. I'm mostly doing feline care at this time due to the increased hours at my place of employment, but I can occasionally do a dog walk or drop in visit.

A typical day

I can take your dog on walks near your house, nature parks etc...We can play ball or with any other toy your dog prefers! If your dog is friendly with other dogs, I can sure bring mine, with your permission of course!
