Comfort of home with outdoor & indoor play times
Pet care experience
Dog training professional (30 years+ experience) is now offering in- home dog care, where your dog will be part of our family. Our home is on 10 acres, with large grassy play areas. We also have a 4000 square foot climate controlled building for days when it's too hot, or wet to play outside. There is no extra charge for cuddle time, and we can also give your dog any medications. You can also opt to have your dog trained here. About this sitter: I'm a professional dog trainer, and Agility Judge. I have a training center on 10 acres close to Pearland. My 30 year experience of dog behavior allows me to make your Dog's stay in my home as enjoyable, and stress-free as possible. Why I love dog sitting I have been passionate about dogs for more than 30 years. I started training my first dog (a GSD) to high level obedience competition, then agility, and flyball. Now I own a dog training center, and offer group and private classes, and behavioral consultation. Boarding is the next natural step. We don't wish to subject our dogs to the high stress kennel environment when we are away, so we realized that other people don't want that either. About my yard My backyard is fenced with 52" fencing, with an additional 1 acre (fenced) agility field to romp and stomp for the most athletic dogs. In addition, I have an almost 4,000 square foot air conditioned/heated training building that I exercise dogs in when the weather is just to nasty to run around outside. This is also where I do the majority of the training too!
Reviews
Rachel provided exceptional care, attention to detail, and daily communication for my German Shorthaired Pointer. She exercised my dog regularly throughout the day and that was much appreciated. Will not hesitate to request Rachel’s outstanding service again!
Best Rover stay to date. Our 3 pups loved staying with Rachel. They came home happy dogs. She has a huge fenced in pasteur that they got to splore in everyday and she sent us updates over the 2 weeks we were away. Thanks again for making our trip enjoyable.
I am so happy that we found Rachel. We needed someone to watch our Bonnie while we were away for our wedding. Rachel is so nice and I was at ease knowing Bonnie would be taken care of. Rachel sent me pictures of Bonnie and it made my day. We will definelty have her watch Bonnie again.
Thank you for keeping Murphy these past three nights. I know that he got plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. It is wonderful peace of mind to know that he was in such excellent hands. Thank you.

Information Rachel L. would like to know about your pet
As a dog trainer, I've trained dogs from the tiniest, to the largest, and don't have any breed prejudices. As long as your dog isn't a danger to myself or my other animals, they are welcome.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks If a dog is in for Board and Train, then I take them on twice daily walks to get them used to walking nicely on a loose leash. Otherwise, as I'm on a ten acre property, your dog will get plenty of exercise (supervised) in my fenced backyard and/or agility field. I have very well socialized dogs of my own, and if your dog plays nicely with others, he or she will get multiple times each day to have fun with other dogs. If they are not friendly, I take them out every 3-4 hours (waking hours), to relieve themselves, and I play with them. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will sleep in a crate in my living room area. Therefore, your dog HAS to be comfortable being in a crate for sleeping. I can provide training (for a fee), if your dog is not used to a crate. Time I'll spend with your dog I only accept up to 3 boarding dogs at any one time, so that I can give each dog the care, and company that s/he deserves. I do not work away from the home. Therefore, except for my group classes (Mon-Thurs - 7 - 9 pm), and my private lessons (done on property) your dog is with me for the rest of the waking hours.
