Rachel has an ease with animals and people alike. She is bright, articulate, trustworthy and immediately likable, but what sets her apart is her advocacy. Her care and concern for animals extends beyond dog walks, couch cuddles and square meals. Whether its your own dog, one at the local shelter or one across the country on a Facebook post, Rachel is in tune with a dogs needs and uses her voice to help. Organized, responsible and an excellent communicator (dog whisperer too!) you never have to worry about an animal in her care. In fact, after working with Rachel at the Humane Educational Society and observing both her work ethic and knack for reading dog body language, I felt comfortable doing something I'd never allowed previously. After adopting a small, traumatized street dog who will stop at nothing to get back to me (not four lanes of traffic, not a second story window, nothing!), I was resigned to always having to travel with him. After years of declining offers to pet-sit from family and friends, I finally accepted when I met Rachel. Wholeheartedly and without reservation, I trust her with my home and more importantly my four-legged family members (even the one who is secretly related to El Chapo and Houdini).
