I have been in the animal field professionally for over 12 years with a strong background in exotics and rehabilitation. Working as a veterinary receptionist I have had the fortune of gaining valuable knowledge and understanding of all breeds and their specific needs. I have truly found my passion in life and could have no greater satisfaction than making it my career. I am confident that with me, your beloved four legged companions will not only receive quality care, but the love and affection that I provide to my own pets every single day. I met Rachel through the animal hospital where I used to take my German Shepard Wolfgang. He was a nervous dog that would nip if he got scared and I was never able to leave him with a sitter. Rachel spent a ton of time gaining his trust and soon enough it was love. Once I realized she did pet sitting it was a no brainer. She would come late at night to do his typical 11pm walk that he was used to and she would send me the cutest videos of them playing and cuddling. Sadly I lost Wolfgang a few months ago but should I ever decide to get another dog, I will be using Rachel!

In order to provide the best quality care, I would like to know the ins and outs of each pet and their everyday routines. I find that keeping things as close to the usual routine as possible can really go a long way to keep them feeling comfortable and happy. It's also very important to cover and specific information such as dietary restrictions, medication needs as well as any other pertinent information. There is no such thing as too much information!
A typical day
I like to take a very interactive approach to pet sitting. I try to imagine how I feel in the situation and address things that would bring me peace of mind. I am happy to send pictures and updates as well as making check in calls. I prefer to keep each pet's routine as similar to their usual as possible. I find that this cuts back in stress and allows for an enjoyable experience for everyone. I apply every bit of my experience to this job to ensure the safety and comfort of every pet in my care. I apply every bit of knowledge I have learned through the years to my pet sitting. This unique understanding allows me to maintain the routines and lifestyles that my individual fur babies are accustomed to all while providing the correct mental and physical stimulation for a completely enjoyable experience. In addition to experience, I pride myself on the genuine love and compassion that I feel for every living creature I meet. I can say with 100% confidence that I will love your pet as much as you do and will hold just as much concern for their well being in your absence. My work schedule is extremely flexible which allows plenty of time for caring for your fur babies. I often have holiday availability as well and don't have any issues with late cancellations.
