I don’t normally review stuff but I am quite upset right now and feel this is needed. I’m not trying to be harsh, but I’m frustrated with this experience. I wouldn’t have outsourced care for my dogs from a stranger if I had any other options. Rachel was not very communicative prior to the visit which was already confirmed and paid for. I laid out a lot of detailed instructions prior to her visit with my two dogs including the color of my dogs harness, when I arrived home it seems instead of going for the purple harness my dogs neon yellow life jacket was laid out on the couch. Rachel chose the correct harness but put my dogs harness on inside out which was confirmed through a photo on the morning walk, the harness has a buckle as well as the metal hook ring on the outside and these were placed against my dogs skin rather than the flat part of the harness. If she had questions on how to place this on her she could’ve texted myself or my boyfriend. My dog has a severe ear infection at the moment which Rachel was informed of prior and my dog is in a donut. I asked that the donut remain on my dog while she is not being walked as she will scratch it until she bleeds, my neighbor checked on the dogs as Rachels behavior had me worried and found that the donut was not placed back around my dogs neck. My dog was able to scratch at her infected ear and caused further swelling and bleeding. Thankful for my neighbor checking in on them. I placed food in the dogs bowls before I left for work and the food was not touched when I arrived home. I had instructions regarding feeding indicating they needed to eat in the morning. They’ve gone 14+ hours, I’m an EMT and work long hours, without eating anything. I had instructions on where to walk my dogs in my neighborhood as they know this area and a stranger is walking them and instead she took them to the park, which is nice and I’m sure my dogs loved it, but I was not told of this decision beforehand or sent photos during this time period. I only found out when I reached out hours after the visit was set to end for an update of some sort on my dogs as there had been no communication on the afternoon visit. I got three photos in all for two one hour long scheduled visits, all were sent in the morning. Rachel was nice and sent a lot of messages on and after the morning walk, but was not communicative prior to her visits or on the second walk that was scheduled. I asked if she had questions prior to walking them and she stated I provided enough detail in my instruction message and she would ask me questions if needed, no questions were asked to myself or my boyfriend regarding things she was obviously not clear on. I’m giving her the stars I am because my dogs are still alive and she did walk them at the times I scheduled. Overall I’m not pleased with this experience and probably will not use Rachel or Rover again.

Rachel helped me with some medical needs for my cat! She was confident and provided good moral support. I would recommend Rachel to take care of your furry friends ?
