Pet care experience
I’ve had numerous pets at any time throughout my life and have always been drawn to care for their well-being. I’ve returned to university studying animal behavior and welfare because they deserve our full support towards better treatment. I worked at a veterinary office in an assistant capacity, have countless volunteering and fostering, pet chaperone and currently manage the foster program for an SPCA. I also actively sit for dogs in the neighborhood. I am accustomed to all personalities, ages, and breeds of cats and dogs. At home is young 45lb rescue boxer mix and three young rescued cats. Everyone gets along! I serve only filtered water and natural dog treats (if allowed) and the “animal sanctuary” aka my sunroom is cleaned, including carpets, between pet stays. Bowls cleaned between uses. I have cameras in each room, one with night vision, which I use to check-in regularly if I’m away or when I wake up with mom worries.
Reviews
Rachel did an amazing job with Birch! They hit if off on their meet and greet and Rachel was great with his care... even taking him for a swim! Would highly recommend!
Great. Took care of my puppy,
Rachael did an awesome job. Between quick communication and taking great care of my cat Tinkerbell at my home, I would highly recommend her. She answered any and all questions timely and sent pictures every day. Thank you Rachael!
Rachel was excellent, and amazing!!!!! I was a mess dropping them off apparently it bothered me to leave them more than I thought it was going to. When I met up with Rachel she assured me they were going to be ok and have lots of puppy fun. I received pictures and videos daily showing how good they were doing. It really made my trip so much more relaxing seeing that they were in excellent hands!!! By far the best person I have ever found to watch and care for my fur babies. ??? Thank you Rachel!!!

When arriving I first say hello (I talk to them all the time) and get dogs right outside. Ideally, we have a 5-10 minute walk, then a treat plus some love, and back to crate (if applicable). Depending on schedule we’ll eat after going out then have a long walk. I readily accommodate to owner requests and pets needs. We own a house in a preserved wildlife area so no fences allowed here, but we have a large enclosed deck they all run on. We have extra rooms to isolate if necessary. I’ll keep everyone separate for feeding, using my best judgment. Introductions are always done outside of the house, preferably with the owner. Only under certain circumstances will I care for a dog whom I haven’t met prior to care. This is mostly for their comfort and yours. I am attentively respectful of owner’s home and privacy, being cautious of cleaning messes, keeping doors locked, and communicating issues. I also LOVE to take photos and keep owner’s connected with their loved ones! I am the one who goes above and beyond (as time allows) to give extra love and care while pets are home missing their families.

I am happy to accommodate your pet’s needs and personality. Got a jumper? No problem. Messes the house? Used to it. Needs to be separated? IMPORTANT: Allergies, Grain Free, Treats ok? Anything else regarding their health and safety.
A typical day
Let me know what your pet needs and I’ll provide. I’m all about keeping them happy, safe, and comfortable while you’re away. I’ve got interactive toys to keep them stimulated.
