Pet care experience
I've been taking care of animals since I was in 2nd grade when my family adopted our first puppy. Since then, I have been taking care of my own dogs since 2010 and have been fostering with a dog rescue for the past 3 years. I've had 4 foster dogs successfully decompressed from shelter life and adopted into their loving forever homes in addition to temporary dog-sitting for other fosters in the rescue many times. I am familiar with dispensing dog medications - my sister and her dog lived with me for 7 years and he was on many different medication regimens for his allergies. I am accustomed to senior care, basic dog training, and comfortable with special needs!

Information Rachel & Justin M. would like to know about your pet
It will be important to understand your dog's daily routine for eating, going outside, and exercise, as well as sleeping routine. While we don't allow our dog to sleep in bed with us, he sleeps in a dog bed in the bedroom. We welcome non-destructive dogs to sleep un-crated in the bedroom as well.
A typical day
A typical day includes both my fiance and I working from home. In the evening, I take my dog for a 1.5 mile walk around the neighborhood. We often will play fetch in the back yard or do enrichment activities in the evening like dog treat puzzles, in addition to cuddling on the couch.

Availability
My fiance and I work from home during the week (normal working hours 9am-5pm) and are usually home on the weekends, so there is not much time that the dogs are left home alone. I currently care for my own dog (and have had numerous foster dogs over the past 3 years), so taking care of a dog is already built into our schedule.
