Pet care experience
Rachel: I’ve grown up having dogs around, caring for them, and have always been a dog person. When I was 10, I got my first taste of pet care when I took care of my neighbors’ seven greyhounds while they were away (as well as their chickens and several house cats)! Since then, I’ve gained more experience with house sitting and dog sitting for others. I also had the opportunity to work for BARK’s pop-up dog park in East Nashville, which required supervision of all breeds and sizes of dogs! Shane and I are pretty sweet, calm people and will make sure that your dog feels at ease while we’re out and about. We can’t wait to stay with your sweet pup!

Rachel and Shane are a true gift! I cannot say enough wonderful things about them and how they took care of our pets and home. Gave TONS of attention and love to our fur babies, especially our dog who is nervous when it rains/storms. From the first visit they were asking all the right questions and gave us full confidence in taking our vacation. They sent daily updates and pictures, took in the mail, offered to take out the trash. Left the house spotless and the pets happy and healthy. We hope to rebook with them soon!
I was a bit surprised when it was her husband doing the majority of the caring and not her alone which is what I was expecting from her profile. He took really great care of my dog, so past the surprise my dog was really happy, though I also came home to a messy house and bathroom. I’m not sure I’ll book with them again.
Rachel and Shane were the best! They took such great care of our two pups. They sent lots of updates, had no problem giving the dogs their meds, and gave our pups lots of attention. We came home to our house looking exactly as it did when we left. Highly recommend them!

We use harnesses or whatever equipment for walking your dog that they are most used to! We make sure to change direction to avoid run-ins with dogs that they might not know and are very watchful of reactivity/leash aggression to keep all parties safe.

Let us know if your dog has any special needs or requests that we can accommodate! We highly recommend communicating whether your pup is leash/dog/person reactive, as it helps keep everyone, including your dog, safe. We also appreciate knowing if they have any special allergies or food aggression as we would love to give them treats for being good!
A typical day
During walks, our main concern is for your dog to have the mental and physical stimulations they need! Whether they are high energy or want to sniff around and explore, we are up for anything. I am intuitive and pay attention to when they need to stop for a water break as well!

Availability
We both work remotely, so when we pet sit for you, be assured that we are around often and watching over your pup! We may leave the house from time to time for short periods, but we are very respectful of how long your pup is at the house alone and don’t exceed the amount of time away that you’ve told us they can be alone.
