Can I pet your dog?
Pet care experience
I love animals more than anything else. I have 4 pet rats of my own that I care for daily and my parents have 4 dogs that I help care for when I am at their home, 2 of which I helped raise from puppies in high school. I also grew up with cats. I have also pet sat for my siblings when they are out of town. I have walked neighbors dogs in the past as well. I try to be a confident handler when I’m with dogs, and I think that positive reinforcement is infinitely better than negative. Being confident with dogs makes them feel secure and increases their obedience.
Reviews
Rachel is awesome. Atlas loves her
Rachel is a wonderful Rover. She obviously cares about your pet and makes sure to keep you in the loop on how they are while you’re away. I would recommend her 1000x over!
Rachel is absolutely the sweetest walker/sitter. She’s so sweet to my dog and communicates any and all concerns you could have with your pet left under her care. I would recommend her again and again!!
Rachel was so sweet. She met us for a meet a greet prior. Atlas absolutely loved from the start. Will be happy to book again!

Safety, trust & environment
I cannot offer services in my home, but I am available to go to your home, and while there the animals will be supervised outside, and if we are going on walks/out in public, the dog will always have a leash on. I prefer to use a harness as opposed to a regular or prong collar to help prevent choking.
Information Rachel J. would like to know about your pet
Any behaviors like anxiety, excessive barking, leash pulling, inconsistent pottying (pees/poops when upset/anxious). These are not necessarily deal breakers, I just need to know so I can be aware. A dog that is aggressive or has a bite history is not something I am comfortable with.
A typical day
We will go on walks, have play time with their toys, and have frequent potty breaks. We can work on tricks, spend plenty of time outside, and wear them out! A bored dog is a naughty dog, but a tired dog is a happy dog.

Availability
I work at a hospital 7 on, 7 off, 12 hours shifts. Because of this schedule I can’t have a dog of my own, but I have every other week free from Thursday-Wednesday. Those days often have no schedule unless I am out of town with family.
