Pet care experience
I am a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Animal Science. I have been in the pet care industry for more than 5 years, mostly consisting of pet boarding and dog training experience. Currently I am the Patient Care Supervisor at a local veterinary office, where I have been employed for ~4 years. The health, safety, and well-being of all animals (big, small, and inbetween) has always been my focus. Due to my own pets needs, I am only able to offer drop by visits and walks (up to 3 times/day). I am experienced in caring for pets with special needs (including physical disabilities, special diets, and medication) and I am happy to help with cats and pocket pets as needed!

I met Rachel almost a year ago at my vet's office. I have seen her interact with many pets that are cared for and/or boarded there. She has always been wonderful with all of my pets and was a huge help when an elderly friend of my mom's went into the hospital and then to rehab. We had to board a 7 year old cat (Bailey) that did NOT like or tolerate other animals. (This cat was the only reason this lady was willing to get better and do the rehab after she left the hospital.) I couldn't take the cat home because I have 5 other pets. Rachel worked with this cat everyday. She even brought in her beautiful, sweet dog Cinnamon to teach the cat that not all other animals are "bad". Within a couple of weeks Cinnamon and Bailey were friends. Rachel asked me how I felt about letting her foster Bailey while this lady was in rehab. She expressed that she thought Bailey would be happier in a home setting and was not happy being boarded. After she took him to her house to foster, the cat emerged. He began to eat better, look healthier, and even purr again. She kept Bailey until the lady made a recovery and was allowed to return to her condo. She was the best pet sitter I have ever had. She noticed things with Bailey that I didn't. she made a confused and sad cat happy again until his mom was well. I highly recommend her to watch, foster, walk and/or pet sit any animal. She has a wonderful way with all animals. Joy N.
Rachel started dog sitting for us several years ago, before she could drive! I know our dog loved her because one time she got out our front door, and before I realized it Rachel's grandma brought her back...our dog had gone to Rachel's house! While we don't live in Ohio anymore, I can feel Rachel's continued love of animals through her Facebook posts. Her pets are very loved and she will do the same for yours in your absence.
Rachel Patton is an excellent choice for the care of your beloved pet. Our family has three cats and Rachel is our dependable and loving care-giver whenever we need her. Not only does she tend to their mealtimes and litter box cleaning, she takes the extra time to play with them and even brush them (if they are in the mood). Leaving a pet in the care of another can be a stressful time, but I recommend Rachel to give a pet owner the peace of mind that she will be attentive and responsible to their pet's unique personality and situation. Rachel is the best- and your pet will think so too!
Rachel has been taking care of my pets for years. She is excellent with all of them, from young to old, big to small and all species. All my animals require different things and Rachel meets all of their needs. She is so knowledgeable about all types of animals, I feel completely comfortable leaving them in her capable hands.
