Pet care experience
I have been a pet-sitter, dog walker for over 15 years, the last 10 years I have taken on overnights. I have really enjoyed it! It fits with my lifestyle. I really love pets of all types/sizes/temperaments and it shows! I am familiar with medication-giving, seniors and hard of hearing/sight animals. My favorite client owned two horses in the past and now has (amongst others!) 5 goats. So I’m even familiar with hay/alfalfa and grain! I’ve cared for 2 elderly cats, one with seizures. I’ve worked with rescue dogs, who normally need extra affection and reassurance…I’m very even tempered, patient and easy going.

Rachel is an excellent sitter! She is reliable, clean and shows our furbabies lots of love. Our pitbull JoJo loves when Rachel shows up! Rachel shows JoJo lots of love and attention. We also have a Shitzu-mix who loves getting brushed. We always feel safer being away with Rachel pet-sitting.

Rachel has been our 'fur-parent' when we're away from home for about 5 years. We have a boxer and, recently added two puppies to our family. Rachel has always stepped up for whatever is needed and follows our routine to a 'T' to ensure our pets are comfortable and we are at ease. She texts frequently, mostly pictures of walks, and is quick to respond when we text her. I highly recommend Rachel! Katrina

All I ask for is kind of a detailed list of what they do with their pet morning to evening so that I can do the same thing and the pet feels the most comfortable. Also a little bit of freezer space…

A typical day
I love petting and playing with animals, they will be very well taken care of. I adapt myself to their schedule, play-time, (medicines if needed) and potty times.

Availability
I teach Special Education full-time at a school in Menlo Park, Mon-Fri 7:00-4pm. I will need to leave by 6:30AM and I should return at the latest 5:30 PM, depending on where you live. It’s best to find a person to walk the dogs and/or check on them during the day…
