You can find daily videos/pictures of your pups on my instagram @the.mutt.hut Hello! My name is Rachel and I have a special love for animals. My husband and I have two dogs and two cats of our own. One dog is a German shepherd and the other is a mastiff x Great Dane mix. We live on 2 acres with a large portion fully fenced in for your pups to enjoy! I have been working with animals for about six years now. In 2017 I started working at a doggie daycare as a back of house manager where I provided a safe, fun environment for up to 100 dogs per day. Unfortunately I had to move and leave that job. Since moving to Georgia I have worked at two other kennels caring for cats and dogs. I was fortunately able to leave my traditional kennel job to do Rover full time. My work experience has provided me a very good understanding of dog behavior and to be able to recognize healthy, happy body language. I have created a special bond with so many dogs throughout my work experience and I crave to create more with your pup through Rover!

Rachel is the best! Her knowledge of dogs and their personalities is awesome! She found the perfect friends for my Clementine. She let me know all that was going on. Clementine got all the excersize and love she needed.
Our little friend was well taken care of and we were updated regularly with photos. We would definitely use Rachel again.
Rachel!! Rhere is not enough stars or characters to describe the VIP services Rocky received. We were kept informed about our spoiled puppy progress. We received the BEST pics of our pup. Rachel bathed our Rocky so he was fresh and clean when we picked him up, she asked permission first. Rachel is our forever sitter. She's stuck with Rocky now. LOL 😆 I could go on and on, but all in all 10 stars hands down!

PICK UP/DROP OFF HOURS Monday-Thursday: 6am-5:45pm or 7:45-8:30pm Friday: 8am-5pm Saturday-Sunday: 9am-6pm MEET & GREET HOURS 9am-11am or 6pm-8pm Please try your best to accommodate my hours but I will always do my best to work with you. I just ask for communication. How boarding works: *your dog MUST be crate trained to stay with me* I require a meet & greet prior to your dog boarding with me. A meet and greet allows me to meet your pet while you are able to see where your pet will be staying. Day to day schedule: 5-6am: potty & breakfast 5-7am: rest in crate 7am-12pm: playtime outside (depending on weather) the amount of playtime your pup receives is dependent on how many dogs I have and if they all get along. Not all dogs get along so sometimes I do playtime on a rotation basis but it’s rare if I have more than two dogs that do not get along. 12-1pm: rest in crate 1pm-4/5pm: playtime 5/4pm-8pm rest in crate 8-9pm: potty before bed *I try to make playtime very intentional and get them to do things they enjoy the entire time that way they are content and tired when it’s crate time. Playtime can include anything your pet enjoys. Whether it be going for a walk or just cuddling. I try my best to cater to your pets specific needs especially because no matter what the boarding setting is like it’s often stressful for most pets. Each evening you can expect to receive pictures and itinerary of what your pet did that day. If time allows I will send updates throughout the day as well. You are welcome to reach out at anytime for updates though! Daycare Drop offs start at 6am. Dogs must be picked up by 5:45pm. Daycare dogs will be incorporated into the boarding schedule. I currently have very limited daycare availability but reach out to see if your pup would be a good fit! Please note I have two dogs of my own who don’t really love interacting with other dogs. For everyone’s safety and happiness they will be kept separate from your pet. Drop ins/walks I don’t currently have availability for reoccurring drop ins or walks but I am able to do them occasionally. Feel free to reach out to see if I can accommodate your dates/times.

A typical day

Availability
Rover is my full time job so I have plenty of time to care for your pups. I primarily do daycare Monday through Thursday and then boarding on the weekends.
