Pet care experience
I have always been the go-to person to pet sit when my friends are out of town, and I would love to be that person for you! I have always loved dogs and am a natural with them. Dogs seem to be drawn to me and I believe it is because of my gentle and calm personality. I grew up with a Black Lab and Australian Shepherd, then later had a Corgi and Jack Russel Terrier. I now have a 5 year old Aussie doodle that I have trained to sit, lay, stay, hug, and is very well mannered. I have cared for dogs from as small as a chihuahua to as large as a Great Dane.

Rachel has been a good friend of mine for a long time. If there is a dog near, Rachel is by their side. She has dog sat for my boxer many times and there is no one else I would trust more. She not only takes him potty and feeds him, but spends time with him to make sure he is well loved while we are away. You can tell by how excited he gets when she comes over that she is one of his favorite people. She is a natural animal lover and they love her right back.

Each dog is very unique so it is helpful to know what behaviors the owner is wanting to work on, if any. To help build trust and win the dog over, I would like to bring small treats or use provided treats if the owner allows. It is also helpful to know if the dog has any cues that will help me understand what he/she wants.
A typical day
I enjoy getting to know each dog and helping to teach or reinforce new skills. I like to go on walks or throw a ball/toy to give some exercise.
