Pet care experience
I grew up around dogs and have 2 golden retrievers. I’ve volunteered with an New Hope Assistance Dogs Inc. for 8 years as a puppy raiser. My primary responsibilities are basic training and socialization of a puppy before they go off to become a service dog. Additionally, I’ve worked at a doggy day care for 3 years and worked at a Weimaraner kennel for 7 years. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and understand their behavior and the importance of socialization and fun.

Rachel was great! She followed all of our instructions and took good care if Cooper. We needed a long term sitter without much notice and Rachel was able to deliver. She watched our dog and house sat. We are so thankful we found her!
Rachel is an animal whisperer. She has been working with dogs since high school and has many year experiences working with all types of animals. Rachel is compassionate, hardworking and really understands what each dog needs. Rachel watched my dog who is hyperactive. She acknowledged my furbaby’s quirks and took the time to give her special attention. My favorite thing about Rachel is how passionate she is to help animals in any capacity. Would definitely recommend Rachel to any persons home to give your pup the best most loving experience.
My dog Yeti loves Rachel! She takes the dogs on structured walks and is very attentive. She loves dogs and they love her back. I highly recommend her!

I have 2 Goldens retrievers that I walk everyday as well as proving enrichment for them like puzzle toys and lick pads. The regular exercise and engagement provides them with a happy and healthy home.
Information Rachel H. would like to know about your pet
It is important I know the dogs routine as well as their social level. I would need to know if the dog is allowed to be pet by people on the street and if they are able to go to a dog park. Dogs can also be triggered by certain stimuli like people wearing a hat or another specific kind of dog breed, so I need to know what I need to be vigilant of. Knowing the diet and eating habits of the dog is also very important.
A typical day
I like to the start the day with introductions and socialize with just me and the dog to establish comfort and trust. I’d like to play with the god and their favorite toy before going on walk around the city keeping treats with me to reward the dog for correct leash walking. If the dog is social, I like to take them to a park to socialize. I like to round out the end of the day with some quality time together.

I have some down time in between jobs and would love the opportunity to spend that time taking care of other peoples pets and providing them the love and care they need while their owners are away.
